I am a first time grower and am wanting to make this grow as simple as possible. I live in northern cali and on the 2nd floor. Tent- Mars hydro 48x48x80, Light- 2x sp250, Inline fan- AC Infinity t6, Carbon Filter- vivosun 6in, Pots- 4x3 gallon fabric pots, Soil- Super soil auto flower concentrate mixed with Great Lakes water only soil, Strain- Seedsman blue dream'matic auto, 2 soil moisture meters, drip trays and pot elevators, 3 oscillating fans- 1 for each light and 1 to move air, ph tester and up and down, and netting later in the grow. . I have a friend who is an electrician that i am going to have double check the electrics before i start. The goal of this grow is to only have to add water. I plan to use the same nestle water I get delivered. Anything I'm missing or advice is much appreciated. I'm trying to get everything together before payday in a week.

The water you're getting delivered may not have any calcium in it. That looks like a similar setup to what I started with a month ago. I was told to grow autos as my first grow by a knowledgeable friend, so my only advise would be to get started and see how it goes. Make sure to post pics of your setup when you get rolling.

Things I learned in the first 4 weeks:

1: Just get started.
2: Keep your head out of the tent. I check on mine once a day at about 4:00a when I get up before the rest of the house is awake. (That's my RIU time too.)
3: Water when your plants need it. I'm watering every 2-3 days right now. Resist the urge to water every day.
4: Maybe go with 5gal fabric pots. You can always make a 5gal a 3gal by cutting the sides (they're cheap) but it's tough to make them bigger.
5: Amazon is your friend. I have bought more do-dads in the last 4 weeks as I needed them than I thought was possible. Get a good pair of pruning scissors. You'll want them when it's time to top or give your girls a haircut now and then to help growth.
6: Get a good thermometer/humidity display. The one I started with only did Celsius and I was confused. (Damnit America!)
7: Don't be afraid to ask questions. People here have been really helpful to me, and haven't made me feel stupid for asking questions.
8: The search function is your friend. I've not posted questions 5-6 times now because someone else did and I found the answer.
9: (learned this one today) There's a little switch on the side of the timer that actually activates the timer function.

Good luck!!!!
