I have an off-topic question: Why do you consider switching to HPA?
The system might have some benefits, but it is also very technical with lots of things that can go wrong, break down, etc.
It does not give you a bigger yield, you don't grow more bud, it is not faster then other systems.
The only thing is that you save water.
I don't know where you live but as long as it is not in the dessert or Israel (where they use this system a lot) water is not that expensive.
I grow with HPA right now so I think I know more about it than you.

It's not technical at all, very simple concept. Very easy to execute if you plan, very reliable.

I would love for you to prove that it is not faster. You can't. I can prove that it is, with daily growth pics going back more than two years. hahahaha

If you want to see what I am growing right now, I am participating in "the ultimate growing competition" in the in it to win it subforum.

Let's see what you're growing.

I do trust you when you say it is faster.

My knowledge of the system is only what I saw in professional greenhouses.
Where I live there are hundreds of them; huge ones. The only think they look for is result.
The guys that I talked to, told me that they did try it out in the past, but most of them stopped with it.
The reasons were that they didn't see any results in speed or harvest.
But they did face a lot of problems with the technique.
So most of them them stopped. Orchid growers do still use it a lot.

But again: If it works for you, it is great.
How much shorter did your grow get?

Soooo
I got a little tote from target
A water atomizer/diffuser thing from ebay- like is in a cool mist humidifier or essential oil diffuser- it makes wicked fine mist.
I Float that inside the tote - cut holes in top, add net pots and clone collars and boom
Cost me $20 total
I knowwww I need to black it out- I want a better tote anyways- I know, I’m ghetto lol
We don’t have stores where I live, so I have to be lol

I'm more concerned about all that brown (on the roots). I tried a homemade aerocloner with an ultrasonic mister and it heated the water up to much to be useful.
Mine runs up to 82F without any issues so far.
Ive seen some that use those in a secondary container with piping into the res and a drain that runs back into it. Bigger water volume and a well set timer seemed to work. Was a bit of a setup though.

You use an ultrasonic mister instead of a pump? With just a regular pump mine can easily get to 85. With the ultrasonic mister mine got into the 90s then again it was a small reservoir and my temps are more extreme.

nope ive wanted to play with it though. Sourcing quality small ones is annoying.
Yeah if you look at that mist that looks like what it is. I was concerned with the brown roots it was running to warm. I loved the mist and hated the heat. I'm still thinking I need a wort chiller for mine.

Well yea it’s 100% clear- I didn’t even know if it would work, didn’t want to invest more $ than I had to

I also live where it’s SUUUUPER cold- like close to the arctic circle- the room it’s in is chilly.
im just playin, I saw this method on YouTube and it worked just as well as an aerogarden or DWC waterfall/bubbleponics setup
I’m sure it would work better if I didn’t half ass it though
