Turgid. How to get that?

I set 12 out just one week ago. 11 are turgid, but one (on the left) is flaccid.



All the others popped roots, etc so it's just this one. All treated the same. I'm not concerned about what may have happened. I purchased her at the clinic. All XJ-13. ucdwc @ 85 liters. Pond was at 190 ppm last week, 250 this week.

What ideas do folk have about getting this one in better shape? I just gave a low dose liquid light/saturator to them all. The second feeding of that, plus Clonex foliar, in the first week, this is week 2.

She takes it well, as you see but she's not grown and is a bit limp.

But anyway, in the interest of helping a fellow grower.. I have seen this problem before. You need to circumcise your plants. The excess foreskin is making them flaccid.

If I understand you correctly these are clones? If so my guess is air embolism or stem rot. When I clone and in a day or so they flop over I look for a viscous slime covering the stalk and cut above that. If there isn't any slime on the stem I just give it another 45 degree cut a little higher up the stem. If they don't look better in a day or two after that they get tossed.

Yes, I should have said, rooted clones brought home from the the clinic. 11 are gangbusters but, this one is slipping away. I am not so good with cloning yet. But, I know what you just mean. Air contamination stops the water from rising and they just flop over. I'll try that re-cut technique next time. Thanks!

No, this is a 9 week old rooted clone, check for good white roots along with rest. Treated the same. But, maybe just got stressed somehow.

So, I was just wondering if any normal had seen this before in a rooted clone. And if there was a rescue anyone had tried. Thanks again for the brotherly reply.

I was wondering what the other plants looked like at nine weeks compared to the sick one....It doesn't look to sick if it was a fresh cut but at nine weeks something is going on ....imo
