Uk Heat wave imminent !

So! The Heat in my tent is already getting up to 31c and there’s a strong heat wave on the way, and what makes it even worse is that my lights are on in the day and off at night ,which doesn’t help .
I’m 3 weeks into flower and thinking of getting a air con ..
Does anyone have any suggestions on a decent and relatively cheap portable air con or air cooler? I’m thinking an air cooler will be no good as it increases humidity I think ,
and I need less of that when approaching the end of flower .
if I had the guts to ,I’d switch ,so lights on is at night (when it’s cool) But I don’t know if that’s safe to do in the middle of flower 72B66E61-43CB-4309-816C-53BFA8B3AEDC.jpeg.

What d’ya thinks?!
appreciate your input

Ah,this is good to know. nice ones guys.I’ll wait until my lights go out tonight and then wait 24 hour until I turn them back on ,so it’s flipped the other way. Sweeeet . I should of seen this coming really . Veg was so long though ,due to issues ,so I needed to clear up the problems before flipping them.

I wish that heat wave would hurry up its batic through the night just now.

As daylight broke the water temperature was warmer than the air temperature, my breath was hanging in the air like a frosty morning.
The mists seeps slowly from the lake, and through the fields it overtakes the plants upon the forest floor only the sound of the loon and the Indians oar ..

as others have said. Just switch your lights to run at night with an extended dark period to allow for the switch.

tbh I don’t know why anyone would run their lights during the day when usually 99% of people will be in work.

so unless you work constant nights/retired (or are a fucking dole head) I don’t understand anyone running lights on during daylight hours because when the fuck do you do your work in there!

Yeah the extra dark for a lil bit wont do that much harm you should be cool summer grows are better ran at night vs the day for the obvious reason less heat

Just air condition the room the tent is in with a window unit or something, don't use a "portable air conditioner" with the hose on it, those are extremely inefficient. As long as your tent isn't getting above 27 C 82 F under LEDs you're okay. I'd suggest researching VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) and getting an inexpensive thermal temperature gun so you can account for LST (Leaf Surface Temperature) as well.

You want your plants to have a 1.4-1.5 VPD accounting for LST with lights on for optimal uptake and transpiration.

U.K. mate. It’s not cost effective.

I'm toiling to maintain 25/26c with acceptable humidity that warm weather is great for me. Atm i've got the dehumidifier coming on intermittent to stop the humidity climbing.

Without heat to cycle the fan frequently enough the humidity gets too much so yes roll on this warm spell.

I grudge the the dehumidifier it's another 50% power which I'd rather put towards lights but due to circumstances I can't.

You see ,I have 2 marshydro ts3000s and 1 fc3000 in a single 4x8 tent ,you can imagine… Marshydro lights get quite hot. and this is with all the ballasts out of the tent ,which then roasts the room.
Yeah it’s not viable to go after a large air conditioning unit . But then again.. I have added another 4x8 tent to the same room.. so it may be the only option soon.. I try and suck air the best I can through a catch in the window, But thats crap.. I was thinking of keeping the door to the room closed with a fan blowing through a hole ill put in the door ,so it then sucks fresh air into the room.. I don’t know , but with two tents in a single room,I’m going to need to do somthing ..

what would you do…?

Where does your exhaust leave the room?
