Unstoppable buds, WILL NOT FREEZE!

Hey guys ! I have a question. I have thrown some fresh buds in the freezer, it’s been about 5 hours now and they don’t feel like they are getting anymore cold than they were 2 hours ago. The buds are fairly dense . Do they need to be like hard as ice ? I know my dry trim and buds always get brittle when frozen. Do I just need to wait longer ? Lots of people suggest a few hours should be fine. I thought 5 would be enough.

i threw them outside since it’s -9f out there right now . What do you think? Thanks!

I'd leave em for at least 24-48 hrs. I've gotten good results from cutting up the bud, and letting it drop into the freezer bag. More surface area/trics to bang around in the ice.

I am I just would like to know how the bud is supposed to feel when it is ready. Doesn’t that make sense lol. It’s not my first time making bubble, just first time using fresh frozen .
I gotcha, I usually hang dry thoroughly before I freeze anything. No biggie. Theres more than one way to skin a cat, right.

I don’t touch them other than they the bag. The buds don’t need to be brittle. The trichomes do. I just did a run the other night. From an oz of already dried bud and about a couple maybe 2-3oz if sugar leaves and some trimi got 7.3g of usable hash. My area had the perfect weather to prep outdoors. 1DDC5B41-3B10-4742-A4CB-0539F4DE390A.jpeg

Yeah they have been outside for a few hours now in about -10f and they have gotten much harder ! Almost brittle on the edges ! That did the trick . Gonna wait another hour or so.

No they do not freeze rock hard. It fact they do not really freeze at all like you are thinking. There was a time long ago and far away that I sometimes had rather large amounts that I used to give to friends. I always had a bag or 2 on ice. It can be used in a grinder 10 mins after out of the freezer

Yea........ fuck that shit.

On Tuesday I considered making some bubble but it was 55 degrees out. Nope too cold.

I waited for today where it was 70 degrees and sunny.

I hate the cold lol

I had a nice 18" of snow, and the snow may have been higher than the temp lol I still have a couple of bags of ice outside, and the work bag/material. I should go get it & do another run right now  :eyesmoke:

I had 4 Tupperwares full of larf and shake in the freezer that the wife kept on asking me to process so she could get the freezer space.

Here's what I got. Still drying.

The pile on the left 25 micron is drying light brown.
On the right 73 micron.
I'm very happy with it.
