today these ladies have been in veg for 1 month.
4x4 tent
Under 1 400w mh and 2 full spectrum led (cheap amazon ones)
Full intake and exhaust setup
General hydroponics nutes at half strength
Netting just put up
Switching to flower in a couple days (can't go to high due to ceiling height in basement)
5 gal fabric pots
Ph balanced water only between feedings.
3-sour diesel
2- gorilla glue
Will be flowering under a 600w hps and the 400w mh that's currently being used for veg.
I have a 1000w hps but the ballast won't work now for some reason.

So my question is
Has anyone flowered under an hps and a metal halide bulbs at the same time?20200407_132746.jpg

Plants look good! I can't answer your HPS/MH question, but just wanted to give you a little advice on your tent. Make sure you keep that floor as clean as possible. Sweep up/vacuum the soil and other crap up every day and wipe id down with a cleaner to prevent bugs and fungus/mold from becoming a problem in your tent. I would also highly suggest some wire management in there. Ziptie all those cords, and power strips to your poles (up high) so they are out of the way and your plants don't grow into them. The way you have those fans mounted will become a problem very soon, so I'd find a way to get them mounted on the poles, before that tent is full of green, because it will become a lot more difficult to deal with those (and the wires) without damaging the plants when they fill the tent.

Never together, but I've definitely been in a position where I've flowered with MH and veg with HPS though.

With both you won't really notice anything, but with just MH, I found that the plants stayed shorter and bushier than being flowered all the way through with HPS. I wasn't doing a side by side, and I was running various strains so I had no way to compare yield though.

Note though that a 600W HPS is fine on its own in a 4x4' tent. Combine that with a 400W and your temperature will go through the roof (and humidity will drop through the floor) without proper climate management.

I'd leave the 400W out and set up a veg area with it instead (or leave it off to the side as a spare).

Yeah, flowered with hps and mh and hps and cmh and led and cmh and led and hps.

I would run the hps in stretch period and then add the MH as buds develop , mostly because your plants look like they would benefit from more stretch than less.

Those are nice healthy little plants. I’ve run MH and LED cobs together and HPS and LED but not both HPS and MH. Can’t see it being a problem. I’ve flowered with MH and HPS in separate grows. Nothing bad will happen
