US Customs confiscated my seeds!

I ordered some seeds from Amsterdam. Received my package today but was opened and sealed w/ green Homeland Security Tape. The seeds were still there sitting in plain sight. Has anyone had this happen to them? If so did they have any contact/problems from law enforcement?

When you order from Attitude it is important to also purchase their stealth option. Costs an extra $12-14. Then, if you had the option, you contact Attitude via email and ask for customer relations. Keep the letter you got and send a copy to them, also via email. They will re-send the order at no cost and include a bunch of freebies. Happened to me again this year and I finally received the order plus a ton of free beans. They looked up some of my previous orders and even included some old favorites as part of the freebie package. Also, look to see if you can see the 2 small holes drilled in the package. Good luck, BigSteve.

I've stated this in previous posts.. The u.s customs does not, I repeat, does not have the right to confiscate the seeds ,as the possession of seeds is not illegal.

really ? I did not know this...So if I go over to Canada, and buy some seeds, it's ok to bring them over the border and back here into the states ?

Whether you can bring it across the border or not is another story, they may have policies in place that make that illegal. Heres an idea: do a bing search and find it out.

Bogus info. I have had beans confiscated coming from overseas 2 or 3 times. I have spent a half hour on the phone to a postal inspector who explained to me how they "sniff" packages coming from overseas. I have, in my possession, a package from Attitude to me that was opened, beans snatched, and the package (with T-shirt) taped up with "U.S. Customs" printed on the tape. There has been dozens of threads and hundreds of contributions that make one thing crystal clear - US CUSTOMS OPENS PACKAGES INCOMING FROM OVERSEAS AT THEIR WILL.

People, be careful about the "advice" you find here. Respectfully, BigSteve.

I've never had any seeds confiscated, 10+ years of ordering from Europe (and the USA) but I have had seeds that were lost in the mail. The one time I had about $200 worth of seeds lost in the mail, I contacted Attitude and they reshipped my order, added a hoodie, and about 2 dozen freebies-I ALWAYS pay for guaranteed shipping btw. That's why I order from Attitude. I have friends and family who've been ripped off or had their packages "lost" in the mail by various American banks/breeders and they never saw either their cash or seeds again. The popular banks/breeders mentioned here are reliable-I've ordered from several of them-but none of them have a guaranteed delivery/delivery insurance option. Just saying, that's why some people still order from Europe-plus, I can't get some of the breeders I like domestically, and I hope that changes at some point.

My package from attitude got ate up by the United States Finest. Ooooo. King pen here. There was 9 seeds in the order
Sorry man. That's weird that they don't have a hub in the US for shipping to US customers. So, seedbank > customs > hub > customer, so the customer never gets seeds confiscated.
