using 8inch Rockwool for entire grow

I have known a few people doing this, and I am going to do this on my next grow. Does anyone have experience using Rockwool through veg and flower? if the roots start coming out of the Bottom and these are sitting on a overflow tray, will that be okay towards the end of the grow or will I need to do something about that? seems odd if not is why im asking....

Flood and drain is pretty old school
I'm not a fan of rock wool but they make cork sheets that allow roots to grab beyond the block
Most today run flood and drain in coco cause rock wool is a wet medium and not as fast of growth

thank you for the reply... this is a smaller grower so i decided hey why not, on this run. usually use kings, or coco, or other mixtures also but as mentioned in the Original post, i thought hey what the heck let’s try them in this area....

i appreciate the feedback.

oh also, why do you not like rock wool from your past experiences? just curious. thank you!

It stays wet and grows slow
Coco is where it is at for yields
