yes 100%thats why we froze all of ours iam talking deep freeze not fridge freezer we froze it damp trick is don't touch it till thawed worked great for yrs

Thanks for the post was just getting ready to ask this question my self. Have done the dry and cure have a little more than I need so thought this would be a good way to store it in a smaller space than jars.

You can get 1/2 cup jars for personal. I have a dozen. I start in 1 quart jars and burp and when i get down to about 50% RH i store them in the half cup or 1 cup jars. That way i crack open a perfect fresh and tasty jar as needed and the bottom isnt all dried out and shitty tasting (1 quart jars can do that if it is personal).

Oh and pack that jar. When it is dry you can squash it and fill the space better.

I have used a vac sealer before and watched an oz look like a 1/4. I think that is harder on it. But it worked as good as the other stuff.

I LOVE jars. A good jar and lid and it will work
