Ventilation problem

My grow room is about 10 feet x 10 feet, a 4 inch hole is already in the wall for some reason, I have a 10 inch carbon filter on it with a 10 to 6 then 6 to 4 reducer, a tent with a 6 inch carbon filter, the tent is for veg and the outside air is for flower, my temps are usually around 30 c and I’ve just put them into flower, my question is, would it be better to get a portable ac and vent out the 4 inch hole and just let the carbon filter blow into same room? Will the smell go outside if I do that? The sound is pretty bad on the outside and in the area I’m in any sign of a grow is instantly raided. Don’t know what to do

One might use the portable AC unit and run a carbon filter as a scrubber to clean the room air. If odor control is critical you could add an inline ozone generator on the exhaust but you want to make sure it only runs when the exhaust is flowing and after the ozone generator have at least 15 feet galvanized snap seam duct thats really well sealed with duct mastic.

Your 4" hole is going to be restricting your airflow and making your fan overwork causing more noise.

Your also not making the most of your filter having it on the floor, warm air rises, it should be up high.

Your lights are stupidly high, if they were hung closer you may be able to remove one of them, but I couldn't say without knowing the ight wattage and the space they are covering.

does that mean the carbon filter would bein the same room?

I can’t hang the carbon filter from ceiling shitty cheap plaster board it would rip it and the upstairs would defiantly know then lol

also the lights are 3 x 600 watt hps and a 900 watt “equivalent” led, in the tent I’ve got a 600 watt mh

Cause you can, what do you think the plaster board is screwed to?
Find the joists.

What space are your 3x 600s covering?

the 3 600s and the led are covering those 20 plants u can see prob 5 feet across and 3 to 4 feet length
You could always drop a 600 then, 5x4 feet, 2x600 or a single 1000 would do the job.
That would bring temps down some given your only true option of making that 4" hole 8" or at least 6" might be out the question.

Another major thing to consider would be air cooled hoods.
In your situation cooltubes would work.

how do I hang the carbon filter from ceiling?
You find the joists, usually 16" or 24" on centre, drill in with a pilot drill and screw in nice and deep a few good hooks, not them pissy things though.
From there you get some chain, I would go with two or three chains, so 4-6 hooks or eyelets

If you tap the ceiling you should be able to find the joists from the noise it makes, if not you can get a stud finder for cheap.

If you hang the fan then you have the potential to pass vibration through the ceiling, but really the filter been high up is the important part.

I get anxiety looking at this room lol. Is getting a tent out of the question? Would 1) look cleaner 2) help contain odor before scrubbing 3) make light hanging easier.

thinking about getting a tent and then having my fan blowing into carbon filter outside tent and then using hole in the wall to run an air con, is 3 600 watts and the led over kill for a 120 x 240 x 200 cm tent?

Damn where you live? Sounds like they treat Cannabis like its the worlds most wanted criminal
yeah they don’t like “drugs” here. I’m guessing ur in the states where the failure of the drug war is widely accepted whereas here locking up kids sent to the countryside with assholes full of crack and heroin is still a good idea and weed is the devils lettuce.
