ViparSpectra makes a good light. I run their latest series, the XS series. I have 2 of the XS1000’s. I’m also in hydro as well. I just put the seed directly in the hydroton. Good luck
I will have to check out your grow. Seems we have a lot in common. I like your avatar. Lol.
Not a fan of dropping a small seed into the hydroton pebbles because it can get lost and I like to make sure the root is growing straight down and that I can see the growth progress , daily. I make sure the rockwool is always moist by periodically pouring a little bit of water into it so that the little tap root always stays moist.

They are in place now. The tap root came out today.
my birthday is this week so it’s perfect timing.

First California grow! :hump:

You got a new tent! Are you still running the smaller tent as well?
Hi Laughing Grass. Thanks for stopping by.
yes it’s the new tent. It’s a gorilla and it’s a cheap piece of crap. Lol. I mean it was expensive and has a good rep but this one I got is sucky. We were putting it up and when my husband went to pull the bottom corner up over the bottom pole the tent ripped up the back. So it you look carefully you can see duct tape on the lower right corner. Funny thing though, my other gorilla is much stronger and thicker and made better. It’s the 4 by 2 you have seen me use before. It’s a limited edition camo print.
so to answer your Question about that tent. I will be using it . It’s up and just needs all the equipment placed.
i have a new fan and filter for it and still have the timber light. I am going to do some small coco 3 gallon fabric pots . Just need to get the pots and coco somewhere.

These little ones look quite different . The darker one makes me think it’s a dud but it keeps growing . I am germinating another bean because I think it might be a dud. Maybe i got it too wet so I dried it off. And helped separate the little leaves. Do you know What is going on? @BobBitchen 70DAE517-FD9B-4943-9906-F995BA7692DA.jpegD7BEE1DA-E36C-4E65-9F37-05C706D2267C.jpeg

It looks fine to me, still to young to worry about IMO.
It does look awfully wet to me, but I don't do RW so.....
I'm sure it will be fine.
Good luck on the grow.

I did notice how wet the seedling looked so turned off the water drip. Her leaves dried quickly and I looked at her root which appears very white and healthy but her first little set of leaves are like toast. The new seed I was germinating popped it’s tail under 24 hours . I had it incubating in my heat pad . I highly recommend doing that . So now I have 2 rockwool cubes in one waterfarm bucket. Holding out that the one seedling might rebound .
In that case the other tent will need to get established as fast as possible. I just placed an order for some coco and 3 gallon fabric pots.

That's a bummer about the tent. No return option? I'm kinda shocked gorilla tents are usually really well made.

What are you planning to grow in the coco?

hi there! its too much of a hassel to return the tent for a small rip. i bought it like a year ago so not even sure about the return policy . i dont like the style tent anyway. its a bitch to get up . i will go back to the Secret Jardin Dr120. that was my favorite tent !
i am planning to grow one chernobyl, one northern light and one chem dog in 1 gallon fabric pots. i have some good luck in the past so hoping i can still crank some small ones out. maybe 12/12 from seed or a short 2-3 week veg.

i topped the bob today. frankie is too small
still.
and the Northern Lights bean is the only one that popped and she is taking off like lightning. Place her into a rockwool cube and coco in a one gallon fabric pot and into the tent with the waterfarms for now. i have the other tent up and ready to fire it up as soon as i have more seeds popped. i am getting sick and tired of waiting for them to pop.
