Vivosun tents are not horrible. However I noticed this the other day. The zippers are horrible and they have light leaks on 3 of the 4 doors. Here is the response I got from them. Seriously this is the worst customer service answer ever. I’ll pass on the $50 offer. It isnt about money, it’s about the ridiculous answer and the acceptance of a bad product. .. here ya go.

I had so much light leaking out the exhaust fan and intake I had to get some 4" 90s and paint them flat black on the inside.

It’s not about light getting out. But light leaks on the inside. I’d bet that f you get in the tent and zip it up you’d be happy with the darknes

If vivosun made the flaps behind the zipper wider, they could get away with cheap zippers. The big zipper flaps are why I like Gorilla lite tents. Some other brands have them too. But as someone else mentioned, the light you can see from the outside doesn't matter, only what you see on the inside. Of course you see a little light from the outside, with a blinding mini-sun in there. Crawl inside and it will probably be pitch black, because all you have is meager room light trying to get in. It's always worth crawling in your tent between grows, when you deep clean it, just to see if any wear and tear has changed the situation.

Order another of the same model from amazon and send the defective one back. They'll get credit from the manufacturer and you don't have to monkey with those people. Although I have heard vivo sun will give you the world so you don't leave a bad review on amazon. If you're within warranty they might just make it right for you without having to order and send a defect back.

I recommend filing out the survey, tell em it’s a piece of shit.

Or just take the offer or refund like most would, fix the light leak and move on with life.

I got a 3x3 and a 2x3 last fall, $200 all in (that's Canadian $ so like $150US) and already ran 2 grows and what I noticed is there's a method to zipping them and getting the top inner flap to lay over the bottom one, using your thumb and index finger while zipping it up so there is no leak. Once you learn it, it becomes simple habit, especially if your in the tents a few times daily.

Not sure what you expected buying the cheapest budget tent on the internet.

At any rate, I'm growing outdoors and there are stars and moon and street lights and airplanes and police helicopter all night long. Girls are flowering just fine.

Same scenario with Mars Hydro tents, leaks trough the zipper, just as mentioned cover them.

I use and old quilt I had lying around, works good...
