I actually use it for pain. Doesn’t cure pain but does get my mind off it which is great. I think your increased gym visits are what caused you relief. Sciatica and herniated discs are usually relieved through stretching and simple walking . Not sure what your back problems are but keep exercising then exercise and partake and see if mj is really a factor at all

Yes cannabis can actually make pain worse in some people. Not everyone reacts the same. It can cause issues with some people just like everything else. One person's experience is not always the same as someone else's. It's not a one size fits all situation.

There is lots of information and experiences of people who's pain worsens after marijuana use.

I have back pain the next day when I smoke too much. It's high up, shoulder blade to shoulder blade. The last couple three weeks I have been dealing with it. I've managed to one hit my way out of it this time. Some times I have to actually stop for a few days. (I try to avoid that if possible)

Maybe make sure you don't slouch on couch when high. Or maybe you bite your teeth when high or something.

Legal dro will wreck your joints. Nitrate bubbles, endocrine disrupters, unnatural fatty acid profiles. No one should consume what most theses grows put out.

When I smoke homegrown I can't even feel my joints/spine. Try smoking some of that weird smelling legal shit and my jaw or teeth or ankles or shoulder blades or spine will hurt guaranteed

I can hear my breathing when this happens, so I'm sure it is just my lungs getting too much smoke. I cut back for a few days and I'm back to normal now.

OP

I am a PT, remedial masseuse and powerlifter/strongman

The most likely scenario is when you went to sleep when high you didn't move much at all in your sleep which is why you woke up stiff. Also hydration. Simplest and most likely scenario as it happens to me, too

Mineral deficiencies is very common in Cannabis users. If you add things like Mg and S back in your diet you would probably get a less stiff back and not the other way around.

Ah, time for some calmag.

Stretching and mobility exercises are good for back pain. My posture used to be horrible and I had a lot of back problems. Imagine my surprise when simple exercises removed the pain :D
