Week 5 flower, WHEN TO FLUSH?

Hello all,

After doing hours of research, I cannot decide whether “flushing”(providing the plant with phed water no nutes) is benificial. Because these plants are bag seed, I do not know the estimated flower time.

This is my first grow, I would say 10% of trichombs on sugar leaves are amber.

Today is week 5 here are the plants:
hlg 320w
50% RH
Day:82F Night:72F

Check out this video.

They cannot prove with certainty that flushing or not flushing does anything. It comes down to preference and personal experience. I start flushing 10 days before harvest.

Do an experiment. Flush one plant and keep feeding another. Cure them separately, smoke them both and see for yourself if there is a difference.

Well, it is my first grow and I just want to be sure not to. No nute cutback at all?
Your buds still have another 2-3 weeks at least. Stop feeding nutes now. Just water with 1 tbls mollasas to each gallon of water for the remainder of the grow. They still have lots of usable nutes In the soil. And BTW, flushing in soil is COMPLETELY unnecessary. You'll learn why in time.

you still have 3-4 weeks to go. this is where they need food the most. taper feedings last 2 weeks. forget the word flush, it doesn't belong in weed growing

Prove it. I've intentionally locked nutes out/permanently stalled vegative growth and those plants bloom fast as hell. Buds don't need nutes, obviously.

They look happy but maybe a little too green. I’d cut whatever nitrogen your giving it back a little.

I don’t flush because I have 10-20% runoff. I feed full strength to the last week or so then taper to 25-50%feeds

You have to just watch the plant man, once 75% of the plants hairs and trichromes have went from white to amber and cloudy, that's usually the best time to harvest. If you want stronger and tastier buds that's the "consensus" best time to begin tapering off near weeks 7 and 8. I've always fed full strength till week 6, taper about %50 week seven. Then week 8, if it takes 8, all up to the plant, ill flush with flawless finish or something of that nature, don't even ph my water, no need. Just dechlorinated or ro water. Just get a jewlers loup and check your heads man, its all up to the plant, just make sure you taper, at the proper time, and just maybe one or two waterings 2× the pot size for a flush. Should be more than sufficient to knock off any excess nutes and salts.

Update, found about 8 bananas total between the 2 plants. The bud i originally got the seeds from was full of seeds, so i think its hermie genetics... I have babied these things, so i think it is genetics. Kind of discouraged, gonna ride them out for a couple more weeks, and hope seed density is low! Wish me luck.

pull those things out with some tweezers and dip in water to kill pollen

There is still at least 4 weeks worth of development left in those.

I'd suggest keep doing as you're doing and go easy with the feed, they are very healthy so don't tip them too far, maybe even a fraction less N I'd say.

Anyway, they are looking good and as for flushing, your a good month away.

You'll have a nice harvest if they continue as they are.

Don't chop too soon ffs.

I can see you was trying to be civil but that all went out the window with this post I see.

Stopping the name calling please and practice your preaching I say.

Btw, nice to keep it on topic too and that way we do actually help this particular grower with his promising looking crop. Good idea yes?
