Were to place sensors

A friends grow is having serious issue's with leaf droop in flower (will ask him for some pics). He grows in a 5 x 5 with a Lumatek Zeus Led 1000w, grows in coco 100% and waters/feeds 1 time per day full flood to run off with 850 ppm, 6.2ph, leaf temps are 26-27 degrees pretty steady with 51-53 % rh, exhaust 200 mm fan/filter.
Now this is where it gets interesting. 4 x autos (really tall and top half busy and full of big buds, bottom half of plants are crap spindly, (popcorn rubbish), 3/4 of the plants had to be stripped as they were just dying off. The only difference is where he has put his air intake (passive room), 1 intake at ground level 1' x 1' which allows cool air at all times..
He has his sensors in the middle of the room at canopy height which a lot of people do. I checked the floor temp and its 11 degrees cooler then the canopy.
So the question is where should you place sensors in the room - the bottom 1/2 of the plants are too cold effecting their growth, he needs a heater in my view even though its 25 degrees out door out side.
