What form of consumable is absorbed the quickest?

Today I ate some sativa vegan butter we have in the freezer. Mixed it with a little brown sugar and melted it in the microwave then added it to my oats and eggs. Life was really really good in less than 20 minutes and lasted most of the day. Don't like coughing right now with all the crap that's happening so was happy to revert back to the butter.. Ran out of brownies yesterday! Will be making more this weekend! :leaf:

You can also make gummies , candy .... not that hard to do. I make tincture with VG ( slightly sweet taste ) , some make infused honey .
Double boiler method ... brown dropper bottle .... easy peasy.

Here is one way to make it .... there are many different ones.

Making the tincture
To keep it simple, I like to use this ratio when making a tincture: For every ounce of cannabis flower, use one 750 mL bottle of alcohol (for an eighth of weed, that’s about 3 fluid oz).

This produces a mild effect, great for microdosing. If you want a more potent tincture, reduce the amount of alcohol by a third until you hit your desired potency.

  • Step 1: Decarboxylate your cannabis flower or concentrate (if you’re using flower, grind it to a fine consistency).
  • Step 2: Mix your flower or concentrate in a mason jar with high-proof alcohol (preferably Everclear).
  • Step 3: Close the jar and let it sit for a few weeks, shaking it once a day.
  • Step 4: After a few weeks, strain it through a coffee filter.
And if you don’t feel like waiting several weeks, you can even get away with shaking it for 3 minutes, straining, and storing.

Making this tonight; was lurking around here looking for tincture recipe. Thanks for the info BB. Couldn’t find ever clear but they had Graves 190 proof. I have about ounce or so of loosey low buds and sugar trim. Thinking I’ll dump about 3/4+ of the 750ml bottle; I want it to be fairly stout. I’ll post the results here.

mct oil infused (medium chain triglycerides), they get broken down by your liver quickly (relatively) and are absorbed into your bloodstream, mct fats also cross the blood brain barrier thereby giving you a quicker onset. I buy it as mct coconut oil at a health food store or in some grocery stores.

Have made the infused coconut oil. I’d say it goes to work than your average hash brownie. Thing I dislike most about most edibles is the super long onset. Made some decent gummy treats from that oil too but never attempted a tincture so here we go:25704C4D-F310-428D-B090-25D612FE78D8.jpeg
Had to decarb longer than expected; did not break up the nuggets enough I think. More like 55 mins. Took it out twice but set my handy dandy toaster over like this...

Now we wait til May 6; stay tuned....

Coconut oil is different than mct coconut oil, regular coconut oil is solid below 21C, mct coconut oil you can put into fridge and it won't solidify making the shelf life of a cannabis infused oil longer, also much easier to dose in drop form.

You left out a word in your description of coconut oil versus has brownies.

Tincture is now in bottles; do not see how one more day of steeping could have made it any better. Ended up with eight 30 ml dropper bottles filled to the brim plus about 5 tblspn left over to spoon into canna-lollipops. After steeping it was filtered through cheesecloth and reduced by half inside a double boiler.
Tincture is potent but not quite as stout as expected. Stings like a mfer and takes about 20 mins to fully kick in. Couldn’t see this totally replacing smoke in my life; like it too much. Plus it seems like the alcohol adds to the buzz somewhat; not really an option if you gotta be functional at your job or whatever.

I'm looking for a way to mix rosin into MCT oil for edibles. How long would you recommend heating the MCT oil and rosin so they become one? I have a wax bead melter so I can put the right temperature for however long. I can decarb using my press plates, just looking for infusion length

thanks

I seal mine up so it's vapor locked and put it in at 280F for 30 min, its actually only about 15 minutes cook time because it takes about 15 minutes to get vessel up to temp, it's like pressure cooking but on steroids.

Infusion shouldn't take long if decarbed already, heat it till the rosin is melted and your good as the cannabinoids are soluble in oils.

If done with flower my memory says 1 hour at 240F conventionally decarbed that way the carophyllene stays in tact.

Other than sub lingual Sunflower Lecithin is a great way to get your meds to kick-in fast.
