What to do with extra clones all the time?

I go by the ABC rule of growing, Always Be Cloning. I have let a few amazing strains go by me before, so never again. The problem now is, I end up with waaay too many clones. Yes, they could just get tossed, but what a waste. I will kill off any unhealthy looking but still have way too many all the time. Upgraded tents a couple times, ran out of people I know to give them to. I was thinking about asking the Hydro shop if they want them, but I wish there was a place I could bring them where people in need of a plant or two or ten can go if they are having financial difficulties. What do you all do, and if anybody is in Nor Cal, any thoughts?

If you are having too many, you need to pick the best ones to move forward with, and keep trying. And keep searching for ‘the one’

I have the exact same issue. I have a bad cloning habit. When I trim back my mothers or any other plant, it pains me to throw away viable cuttings. I'm always trying to give clones away.

Before i was growing and making my own concentrates, I would go to dispensaries and see horrible clones for $20 each. Seeds usually equal out to around $10 a seed give or take, and I'll sometimes have 10-20 extras, I know there are people that could use them, I just dont know those people. If growing outside were legal it wouldn't be a problem, just plop them outside

I also only grow for myself, so I dont need anything bigger than this. I just would love to be able to help some people out. Plus then i could see if the strains I am growing, and a couple I bred, are as good as I think they are. Everybody always overestimates the stuff they grow themselves, nothing better than others touting it!

It's doubtful any dispensary is going to take any clones unless you're a licensed grower and then they are tracked so you can't just drop a box of clones off.

Compost my friend, never see another clone go to waste! Recycle it and get EWC and drippings!! It's such an excellent way to recycle plucked leafs and the such as well! The worms love it!

I would practice different training and growing methods, I can’t throw any plants away either! (: They are living organisms and its so hard for me to give up on plants! What area are you in? Maybe you can find someone near you thats on here.

What is your method for taking clones? I have not had much luck getting my clones to root this year.

I cut and put directly into a cup of water while I keep cutting. Then take out snip tip at angle, dip in CloneX gel, place into root riot cubes in a tray with a dome in a small tent with heat mats on controllers. I pop the lid and most about every 4-6 hrs. Been having somewhere in the 90 percentile for success rate, could be 100 but I get picky and always kill one or two off early

Don’t overcrowd your tray either. These are at 9 days, roots on most but letting them get bigger. Also a pic of what roots usually look like when I take them out. I believe this one was about day 14, dont usually go past that

I live in Lodi, CA, which is about 30-45 mins south of Sacramento depending on traffic, and about 10-20 mins north of Stockton. Would not want anything for them, free 99

I used to keep 3 moms going. You get over culling and tossing pretty quick. It's safest for you and gives you room for only the best.
I've met people that can't bare to toss plants or cuttings. I don't see the connection to these things. You're a farmer not an animal breeder!!

Don't think I can ever get over it, tossing healthy plants that just need some space when i know there are people that could use it. There were definitely times I could have really used it.
