Whats growing out of this bud?

Could just be a calyx. I can't make it out well enough in the first pic, but sometimes hermie grow "banana balls", banana-shaped pollen sacks. I don't know if that's what that is, though.

Looks like pollen sack to me. Maybe I'm wrong but I'd keep an eye on them, maybe even pick em all off if you can.

What is growing out of this bud? The plant has been in flower for 7 weeks.
That's a male floret. You're getting some hermaphrodism. Common causes are interrupting the dark cycle of flowering plants, some nutrient excesses (P & K toxicity can do it), pH errors.

It will be hard to remove all of these before they pollinate either the plant they're on or neighbours. Harvest this plant now if you can.

I got a hermie, and I put her... I mean IT in a breathable portable closet I got from Walmart.com. $20 (shipping extra), made of all white fabric that's made to keep dust and pollen off of clothing, yet allows air to flow through. I swear, I think that fucking tranny is actually HAPPIER in there than when 'it' was out under the sun with the rest of the girls.

Of course, as luck would have it The Tranny decided to drop its balls during the ONE week I was out of town. The first time I've been out of town for that long in at least a year. Fucker! So, I castrated it, cut off its balls and put it on a permanent time-out. I expected it to do what males do when you chop their balls, grow 'em back bigger 'n better, but so far it really hasn't. However, I'm thinking that I've got a good chance that what started out as my breeding grow and turned into my sinsemilla grow ain't. Sinsemilla, that is. F'ing trannies, knocking up proper ladies.

Just a thought If I collect the pollen, then use it on a different fem , will the seeds from the second fem be fem seeds? Isnt that how they do it.

EXACTLY how they do it minus afew other factors to get a good steady non hermie fem. seeds but that is the basics and all you really need to get fem. seeds

Thanks All- I think Ill dump the nutes , go with straight water and h2o2, cut that bud off, and watch the rest of the plant. It is so close to harvest, but the trics are still cloudy, and I really wanted to wait untill they started going amber.

sea, i read that somewhere there was a definite way of femming ur seeds, something aboot purposely hermie-ing the seeds and then breeding the messed up ofspring... i think? i was high as a satellite and cant remember the source or the author, but i wanna say jorge? put me in my place if you dont mind...

When I find your proper place I'll let you know, Kid O! I've read SO many different things about how to bring about feminized seeds, etcetera. Since I don't grasp it well enough I've decided I will let the "professionals" muck around with it. I've still got too much learning to do to mess with it, fo' sho'.

And hey, it's been a while, yeah? How ya been?

Feminised seeds are usually treated with something like gibberelic acid or some such. You buy them from seedbanks as such. Unfortunately, they're not a sure thing- they come up about 70-80% female. Most folks take their usual average 50/50 chances with untreated seeds, veg 'em up until they can be sexed then take cuttings from the plants determined to be females and flower those as well as use them as replacement mums.

Im just a novice and have no intenion of trying to breed plants. I can barely grow the one I got. Im just going to cut the one bad bud, change the nutes, for a flush, and watch for any more male flowers. I hope it turns amber soon. If it looks like it is tuning hermi, then Ill pull the whole thing.

Man i first time grower and i had a male plant pop up. I let it go so i cud pollinate my only other plant so as to have seeds. JSESUS CHRIST!!! Thar was a mistake, that pollen get everywhere, i have seen nothng like it. I cud not expect the millions of pollin particles it released. Luckily i had already cut it down and pollinated the female with the early openers. Damn, it was massive.. It fun to watch the males grow tho, they get hugs fast. Just sitting ther wishing it was buds.

All 6 of my blueberry plants are hermie a little and I did not pull one ?? If you have the time to look over the plants everyday then there should be no problem with keeping a hermie , the bud is still good bud ???

Thanks Stoney- I just cut the one bud off. If Al B. is right then its most likley a nute (P-K) prob. So since its close to the last week(s), Im flooding with just water and h2o2. I will also be watching for any more "growth".
