What's the quality like from dispensaries in Hawaii?

So I just found out I'm moving to Oahu in about six months. I'm a medical user and need some decent quality. I went to Colorado in 2014 and the bud was garbage for the most part. I'm wondering if I should look for a house with extra space inside or a back yard to grow my own, or can I get decent quality from the shops? I need my meds due to pretty severe spinal problems and am trying to get my ducks in a row before I get there. Any help you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Grow your own, or find someone on the black market. You will find that the stuff in the shops here may be similar to Colorado, or worse.
How do the dispensaries get their bud there? Are there growers just for the dispensaries? Is it 100k to get a license? Just wondering as I haven't been able to find much info. Thanks

It's set up to be a monopoly, and it's really sad. Everything is, and by law has to be grown in house by the dispensary. As far as getting a medical card goes, that is pretty easy. You go to a care provider of your choosing that writes mmj prescriptions, and you have to have three appointments where you have them document pain. Its important that it's for pain and legally they have to document it three times, but you may find a physician who is willing to bend the rules. Its probably about a $200 dollar visit and you need a $50 dollar money order made out to the Hawaii health department. Don't quote me on that. Your doctor can give you some of the finer details, but that's the jist of it I think.

Hey man I finally made it to Oahu. One question though. Do I need to have a Hawaii DL or ID card or can I use my old one for the med card process?

Well I've never tried without a Hawaii licence. I'm gonna have to say I would assume they will require one, but I may be wrong.
