Whats your holy grail??

80s-90s Haze/NL5 x Sk1/Hashplant. Feds got mine in 97, and Ive not found anything the equal, including a real deal Chem91 Skva cut. I did 6 years in Federal Prison, and then 8 years supervised release. Been looking for its equal ever since, with no success. If I could find the equal, Id have the market cornered. I grew if from 91-97, and never grew tired of it, nor did I get burned out on it. It was the best stuff Id seen since the early 70s. Ie Vietnam Black, Santa Marta Sinsemilla, and Oaxacan in 1972. 72 was the first time Id heard of, or smoked sinsemilla. It was green, and would make you paranoid. I will say Oaxacan is the only stuff that gave me auditory hallucinations.
I got people mad at me because they thought the Hz/NL5 x Sk1/HP was laced. It would drive your bloodsugar level into the ground, and made many people paranoid, for hours, and hours. Have also seen people lose their bowels on it, and throw up. Some swore it had PCP in it.
Was not safe to smoke and drive as it would make you lose your vision on to big of a hit. Would also choke you to death, and youd have snot and all kinds of shit going on. Tasted like the best Nepali hash ever made. Was done in 6-7 weeks indoors, but was 1st week of November outside. Did I mention it would make you cough your brains out??
I had to show love for taking one for the team. I have respect for the old rebels. I grew a crop too around that time, but I didn't know WTF I was doing even though I had books and shit.

The clone only Chem 91 is still around. I had that cut like a year ago. Still have a box of it's buds. That's definitely a winner.

I've only been growing clone only Green Crack lately that I got a few years ago. It's a super easy and forgiving strain. It's resistant to all kinds of shit and doesn't every throw nanners no matter how much I abuse her. She's not super easy to trim though. It doesn't have as high of a calyx to leaf ratio as the OG's.

ghost train #9, had it, let it go but crossed it. It’s a 90 day bitch but we’ll worth the effort.

Its still around and LemonHoko makes a nice BX that looks pretty true to the original.
Yea he took a 55 day Sativa and cubed it. I’ve smoked the mom many times, gifted from the man himself even, fresh blueberry muffins. I had a killer 55 day pre99 indica that had that similar muffin, I crossed with Blue Satelite 2.2 (75% purple Sativa DJ short BB), killer smoke to be found in there as well.

No sir. Lovely city though.
I was just curious because that's where I was born. That area has always had bomb ass weed. Oh and it's shroom heaven. I was in the hot spot. Too many damn people there now. It's changed a lot. A lot of assholes there anymore.

I grew my first plant in 1972. Starting growing indoors under SHO Fluroescent, 8ft tubes in 75, and then they came out with HID around 76-77. The first HID Hight Times advertised was taken from the Navy Sub Hydro Program. The bulb was very fragile, and they wouldnt guarantee it from breakage in shipping. It was a 1000w Metal Halide. Then 6 months or so later they came out with the 1000w Super Nova, and the Octo Garden. It was also metal halide. I grew with Metal Halide until they came out with Blue Enhanced HPS in the 90s. I think Hortilux was one of, if not the first to make an HPS with Blue added.

Nice. My first time, a buddy loaned me a light called a 420 watt Sun Agro lamp. He was a serious grower. It was supposed to be a mix of both MH and HPS kinda like the CMH these days. At least that's what I remember, lol.

Edit: Actually maybe it was 430 watts. Can't remember.

Son Agro 430 is still around. It is Blue enhanced, 430w and 54,000 lumens. Is made by Phillips. Phillips makes great bulbs.
400w Hortilux is 400w, and 55,000 lumens.
Phillips may make the best LED, but you have to buy them in quantity, as they dont sell them individually. Green Power Toplight Compact is what theyre called. 1800umol out of 630w.

It was a Son Agro. I know that for sure. I just was thinking it was 420, but it must have been 430.

I was born in '73...thank you to a guy that kept this plant going in the face of all adversity for me and the rest of us

that's awesome! the more folks that get their hands one it the better chance of keeping a wonderful legacy strain in circulation!
I agree. I've been wanting to run some good NL gear for a minute, I grew up in Seattle area and it was fairly easy to come across back in the day. Nowadays, everything I have bought labeled NL in recent years, I can tell pretty quickly its not legit. I am hoping that CSI crosses it to his T-1000 cut of Old Family Purple, because I think that would make an excellent pairing.

For smoking, the real deal sour diesel ⛽ is my Holy Grail. Its been a 20 year love affair.
I'm with you there. Anything with legit diesel genetics usually does the trick for me. The last few years, I've been obsessed with the chocolate diesel crosses coming from Useful Seeds, and have a few packs of the Chocolate Diesel S1 I plan on hunting through. I'm also usually a fan of anything with haze or chem lineage.

theres a grower local to me in OK that has an amazing cut of Wonka Bars from Exotic Genetix, If I were to pick one strain out of everything, it would def be that cut. Leans pretty heavily towards the chem lineage.

Good to see a fellow Okie! Are you familiar with Mandelbrot's Royal Kush? I think it might be in that diesel realm that interests you!

I grew a few Emerald Mountain Legacy Oil Spills indoors and one outdoors and none of them had anything close to what I was looking for. Closest I've come lately was People Under the Stairs sour d x chem DD.
I did a pack Usefuls Sour D x Chocolate diesel and it lacked any sort of fuel.

I have never grown any of the other strains other than Royal Kush. If I put a gram in my pocket people around me can tell pretty quickly!

Old school sensi seeds Haze x Thai x NL#5. Couldn't beat it for potency back then and I still think new school strains don't hold
a candle to it. Probably not the highest THC content but even experienced smokers had a problem finishing a joint. Extreme euphoria, could experience loss of bladder and bowel control. For experienced consumers only. A paraphrase of the description in the sensi seed catalog I read in 94! Grew and smoked one year... Complete awesomeness. And NL# 2,3,5 from same seedbank. Pure pine tar terpenes! Smelled and tasted just like you whittled the bud from a young pine tree!
