Hi! I am a breeding noob.
I have male and females in my grow outdoors for breeding. The male are flowering.
How can I test to see when they are almost ready to send out their pollen? They are in the ground, so I was told when they are only a couple days away from dropping pollen, I should harvest the males and keep them in vase of water far away with a paper bag to collect pollen.

I want to selectively pollinate the females with the pollen, only on one branch, so I still have some to smoke as well. Will the pollination of the one branch effect the maturing of the buds on the rest of the plant?

They drop at 2-3 weeks after they show male /sacs ? Or ..thanks
Im indoors so that is my only reference. Indoors most strains I did the males started to drop first pollen between 2 and 3 weeks of 12 12 light. Each male is also unique. I had one start to drop pollen during veg with some of the preflowers that kept growing. I killed him when I saw that. Not a trait Im after. Also the sacks were looking weird.
