When starting your legal grow, did you notify your landlord first?

Starting a grow soon, and while looking for a space have been upfront about my intentions. This leads to immediate cessation of all communications and honestly it's starting to piss me off. I have professional builders, electricians, and intend to have it inspected by the fire department and state police.

So now, I feel like the move is to find a place, get settled and going and if they find out they can take me out kicking and screaming. That's how we did it in CA but it's not quite as wild westy here.

Thoughts? How did you handle it?

I'm in RI, and I guess that is what I'm asking. We did it that way in CA, but like I said...Wild West.

I read an article where a guy did not notify his landlord and she couldn't evict for that reason, but ultimately found one. Just curious how people handle it. I just wish people were more open minded.

You have a right to privacy.
Keep the grow small and don't cut through walls.

I'm a Cali grower though.
Best of luck. Peace

I'm trying to keep everything in my grow as legit as possible, despite the gray areas of RI mmj law.. with that in mind, I most definitely did not tell my landlord. Everything in here is safe and inspected by a licensed electrician, but as far as the landlord goes; it's not their business. It's for legitimate medical use, and therefore does not need to know as far as I'm concerned. Is it there business if I need oxygen? what about the pills I may be taking? If it was illegal, I could understand a complaint, but then again if it were illegal, I wouldn't want them knowing anyway.
