When to fruit fully colonised pf teks

I think if you're seeing pins it is already fruiting? Totally new to shroom growing so im curious as well.

Yeah, pinning is the start of fruiting, the pins will develop into the shrooms. If your cakes are fully colonized then it's time to take them out of the jars and put them in the humidity box.

When you take the cakes out you're exposing them to fungal spores and bacteria in the air. Any bare spots on the cake are opportunities for an unwanted infection to take hold.

I get that, but wouldn't it only be "partially" colonized then?
If it is "fully" colonized there should be no room for competition, why wait?
I would think once it is fully colonized if you don't fruit it won't it start to breakdown?

Going on a trip this weekend with a band of Hippies , should be an adventure !

Dude, trying to get hold of a pal of mine to see where he got this work of art, I'll find out....I'll get it to ya. This shirt just represents good, clean fun( to me)........Great company, no clock f'ing ticking, nothing mundane, untethered and free wheeling. It's a retreat.

I don't get out as much as I life but with my job I'm outside for 2/3 if my day. Not quite a forest but at least the air is fresh.

I'm retired, kinda do what I want. Easy for me to get out and about. At least your not locked up in a cubicle all f'ing day ! I did environmental testing.....Worked outside all year round for 40yrs. Love nature and being in her lap.

They'll fruit inside the jar, but that's not ideal in my experience.

I assume this would be the same with oat tek spawned to bulk (well shoe box tubs) just wait for pins to form before introducing to fruiting conditions? I know philly golden teacher just says "ten days" but wondering also what I am looking for as a visual indicator. TIA
