When to Transplant Rooted Clones?

I recently built this aerocloner out of a bucket, pump and some tubing and now that roots are finally starting to show on the cutting I took I was just wondering how long do you guys let the roots grow out before you transplant them into their final medium/pot (in my case coco in 9gallon pot)?

Use to transplant asap then remember someone here telling me "give them legs" before transplanting. I do DWC so in hydroton it makes sense to have more roots to start w/ vs having to manually top feed. Only thing I like about transplanting early is less suffering from shock.

I can only speak for soil but if you take clones where only the tips of the roots only just stick out and transplant them, some die. I always wait another week after I see the roots coming out of my little cubethings (the brown ones)

Ok Thanks, I'll try letting them grow out their roots some more. I was going to try doing a SOG with all of these cuttings, go straight into 12/12 cuz my tent is only 5' high (and when you factor in the light and the pot that leaves like 3' of room for the plant, 2' if you want space between the tops and the light. My last grow was a disaster cuz they stretched 3x, three fucking times larger lol and right into the light :(

its all about the right strain in your setting. I would look for pure indica or 80-90% indica dominant strains because they dont stretch a lot after flipping the switch.

Sea of Green is the way to go
