So I'm on day 15 from seed. Starting on her 4 node and getting some growth on older node sites. So when would be good to water till run off. It's 3 gallon of medium in a 5 gallon bucket. Also I think I had the light a tad to close. No burning but she hasn't stretched any. Tight node spacing

For me, it depends on what I’m growing. I don’t water till runoff for my autos. I also only grow organically. I typically only use the runoff method when I bottle feed. 15 days in from seed, the plant is still small. So watering till runoff will cause over watering, unless you are in a starter pot or cup.

Thank you guys for the advice.do you guys use a set amount of water at certain stages or just go by instinct? I'm trying to get through my first grow with no major mistakes. So far so good plant is healthy looking other than being short from probably my mistakes. But should be bushing out soon by the looks of the new undergrowth locations.

There really is no specific amount to use. That all goes with knowing your girls. If you bottle feed, you want at least 10-20% runoff. But I don’t go that route until after I start flowering. But that’s just my method.

When you first start growing and searching/asking for information you got to make sure you're comparing apples to apples. None of the info is really helpful unless they are growing in the same soil, environment and nutes. So provide as much specifics as you can when you ask questions and search for answers.

I’m trying a run in living soil and all organic. If you don’t water till run off how do you measure how much water to give them. I’m in air pots and have just been putting them in a tray and watering a little at a time till I see moisture in the tray. About 3/4 gallon on my seven gal pots, just under a half gal on my 5s every two days late in flower. Does that sound about right?

I've watered to runoff every watering with autos and also tried alternating every other watering.. Didn't really see much of a difference.
