I throw the Frisbee with my kids. But I never got the appeal of disc golf either. But some people don't get the appeal of paintball which I love to play. So enjoy my Frisbee chunking guys and gals. Look for me at the speedball courses.

It's great, give it a try. It can piss you off but can alao be relaxing. What's not to enjoy about walking in the woods, burning one while sipping your beverage of choice? There are still old schoolers who throw frisbees like you , but disc golf discs are heavier and can be thrown amazingly far and extremely accurate. Around corners, over trees and water. The shit gets competitive and the pros are fun AF to watch.
I set up 5 baskets on my land last year. It's more of a putting/ mid range course, but it's hours of entertainment. I'm wooded. I played a lot in South Florida in the late 90's ( lots of pros in fla) and the course I played was pretty wide open.
Also played a few nights tripping on mushrooms. We'd hang glow sticks on the baskets and package tape the mini golf ball glow sticks to the undersides of our discs.

If only I could use a black whamo 149 class in a tourney. It is highly competitive or just a great quality time in the sun hiking for a day.

Master the approach and putts. You'll beat many a pro show off driver at the table behind the 18th. My drive is more accurate than most. Far shorter by a long bit. Innova birdie mid approach. And omega first run black gummie floppy for the puts. It is in the details.

Keep the course clean and give the stoners ahead a minute or two.

If anyone is on the East coast there is a new course that just opened. Ryan C. Kelly Disc golf course at Green lane park in PA. 2nd longest in the country. Heard it was really nice.
