The main reasons people had visual distortion from absinthe, was mostly due to it having higher alcohol levels, and some of it being brewed in toxic vats. Some batches were speculated to also have excessively high thujone levels in them... which can be semi-toxic in high doses. I think you can still get the high thujone absinthe in the Czech Republic...

Red Tide ragweed. She's a strange plant. Sometimes happy then at the drop of the hat she's an angry biatch for no reason at all. Best to keep the house tidy if you plan on growing it at home or she'll give you an ear full. It won't stop at that either. Feed 1000ppm (high dose) of chocolate. It seems to subside the anger, but only temporarily. Make sure to keep her warm too. They tend to have a very low leaf temperature which makes them angry as well.

Surprised nobody mentioned BHANG ( fermented cannabis ) drink made in India culture.

Or make some tincture - add drop dosage as needed to your sippy cups , coke can , coffee , whisky , breast milk …… POOF DONE.

No complicated drama.
