I don't debate weed growing techniques I just do it. I defoliated and lost money. I got LED's and can't make money with them so I use them for supplemental lighting. They are awesome for supplemental lighting. They don't have the light penetration to grow trees. They would work great for a hobbyist lighting a flood tray or scrog. Hobbyist do things differently than licensed caregivers that do it for a living. Have fun!

You definitely bought the wrong LEDs

yeah they were all the rage, meanwell drivers and samsung diodes, whoopiedink. They blind my eyeballs and burn the plants if they are too close but can't penetrate down 3-4 branches. The novelty has worn off for me.
yeah it's because the industry LED geeks miss out much of the green, UV or IR but still call it "full spectrum" when just barely reaching 2/5 of colors ah ah!

Did you know that we have known for years that lower buds will actually test out higher in Cannabinoids?
Bet not. Nobody talks about that
Yes, good good, and why is that so? Why + % THC? If we keep in mind where the trichs are so what are bigger swollen buds have any effect on this relation? Does it now dawn on you as well as why this infamous N-flower feed study came to such a paradoxical result? It's less % bc the other dry plant mass increased - but not total NETTO cannabinoid content.

I have been continuously growing for around 5 years now. First few grows I didn't really defoliate and things went OK. I then started to defoliate every grow. My grows haven't improved as much as I would have liked taking my 5 years experience into consideration. I occasionally get 1grm per watt but not very often, maybe I am just not a great grower, some of my grows have been quite bad.

I have tried most defoliation technique's. Complete strip at 3 weeks, handful of leaves every few days, and last grow or 2 the Kyle Kushman technique, etc etc.

Seen many topics on side by side defoliation vs non defoliation but the topics all seem to cut short and not finish.

I am often tempted not to defoliate (just lollipop) but all I can see at 2 weeks into flower is a sea of leaves some as big as my head and I can't hold myself back.

Any conclusive evidence (non scientific just experienced growers real life results with clones) that defoliation helps or hinders.
Defoliation is a must with bigger /bushier plants with any depth to the canopy. Larf is loose structured and lacking in trichomes for a reason. Low light intensity as it’s shaded. Direct light to bud sites produces more size, density and potency. I see it all the time in my garden as sometimes I won’t defoliate a plant or two as much depending on a few factors. I’ve yet to see a strain that doesn’t benefit from defoliation indoor. Problem is a lot of people don’t know how much or when to defoliate. They really have to be in their groove and primed for vigorous growth to get the most out of defoliation. Helps with airflow and potential bug issues as well. Much easier to deal with. I’ll never not defoliate. I like to let the plants get a bit taller and I know exactly what happens if I don’t defoliate. Less quality weight and Bigger hash pile that I don’t even want to bother with.

I feel a little sick when I see some pics of how badly people butchered their plants...sure, they usually appear to recover quickly, but at what cost? Regrowing all of their leaves is obviously taking energy away from bud growth. Some defoliation is undoubtedly good for basic grow hygeine, induced resistance, air flow, etc. But please don't shave every fan leaf off your plant!! They are there for a reason.
They don’t regrow the leaves. Lol

You ever see Remos gardens? He blows away everyone here commenting. He strips heavy on day 1 of flower and again at 21 trees with massive buds.
He only shows you want young’s go to see. If you notice he had a crop mid January just flipped to flower, then went silent on his channel up until 2 weeks ago when bam, a whole new crop in the same room again.

Keep watching YouTube bro, they are masters at getting noobs to buy their shit.

The lies about age of crop and all that doesn’t explain the buds. Hate all you want though. It’s what miserable people do. Btw..nothing new about me.
