Wide ring dripper. Small rootit cubes?

I have grown a lot before but always coco
i have hydroton and a dripper & F&D combi system
i'm going to use the dripper system alone without the F&D function due to respecting downstairs neighbours

mother plant is healthy, strong and bushy. few more tops and i'm ready to do my first set of clones

I am looking at these rootit pouches and rockwool cubes they're quite small aren't they, i have no doubt i can get them in my large pot systems and held in place by the rockwool but i feel the pots/dripper rings are so wide the roots aren't going to get touched by the water dripping for at least a week or two (i guess roots will grow quicker than i'm use to in coco)

Do i have to manually feed these in the middle so it reaches the roots and cube until the roots have grown out strong?
or do i get a large rockwool cube? i've read these can change PH via runoff i don't know if thats just the first time when you run water through it for the alkaline or in general
if rockwool always changes the PH i think i would like to go for a small cube

but i most importantly would like you experts advice beforehand!
