Hello all,
Times are certainly tough right now. I've been trying to keep a positive mindset. I was just in the final stages of starting my own environmental business right before the world went to shit. Now everything has been put into limbo. I've been thinking about this a lot and is only my opinion, but I believe full blown federal legalization of marijuana will come after the pandemic. States are going to be looking for any way possible to pump tax revenue back into local economy. We've already seen how much tax revenue has been generated in states like Colorado and Washington. Ohio, where I live, has made small steps but making marijuana legal to medical patients, but would be way better off if they loosened the restrictions. I truly believe cannabis can help lift us out of this situation we're all in. Im not an economist, just my two cents. Please feel free to chime in.

I think you are right. I think it’s can also be a great bartering good as well...depending on which state you live in.

I believe that greed corrupts, and all of this cannabis legalization is greed based.

Sure, it's one thing to see the tax dollar signs, but look at Canada... almost all production companies are being sued, going bankrupt, have lost all of their value in the stock market, and are shedding jobs like crazy.

The product being sold in retail is crap, and is far too overpriced.

Besides, trying to take in tax dollars by selling cannabis to citizens who are already near broke because of the pandemic? Sure, more tax dollars are coming in, but there are still significant underlying issues that increase in tax revenue can't fix.

What would a state do with extra tax income? Hand it out to oil companies as future tax breaks as a bailout?

Yes, more states will legalize as they incur more debt and look at tax generation $s. It will be attractive.

Legalization recreationally is meh. In chicago, recently legal its 70 or 80 for eight. People still go elsewhere.

Bud in Chicago is gone in 2 hours. What a joke. For me I want 6 plants legal 3 in flower 3 in veg.

Chicago doesn't have this. meh
