Winterized BHO Opinions

Hello Everyone,

I ran 4 oz of trim 6 days ago with butane. I then winterized the batch with everclear and let it sit with a fan on it for 3 days at room temp.Yesterday I started my vac purge and have had it at-29.95 hg (115 degrees f )for the past 12 hrs or so. The smaller pieces are straight shatter and thats what im looking for the whole thing to be. However the bigger globs on the paper are much softer and extremely sticky on the bottom. Everything otherwise is good. Wondering if I need to maybe spread it a little thinner or just keep purging. All of the solvent has been removed at this point im almost positive. Just looking for some advice how to harden this slab up a little more. Thanks in advance.

Yes, thin it out.

I also use 125F for ethanol because it is so hard to remove and can blow huge bubbles.
Fadedawg,

I continued to purge another 24 hours and it started to wax up on me so I figured my purge was complete. When people try and dab this stuff it makes a flame when it hits the banger. Is it most likely alcohol or could it still be butane after winterizing? Should I continue purging?

If your banger is hot enough to ignite either alcohol or butane, it is too hot. You can ignite and burn the cannabinoids and terpenes, so my first suggestion is to use a infrared thermometer to see how hot your banger is. Quartz is harder to judge by color than Ti.
