I grew out nirvanas blackberry in 09, still have some seeds (grew out 4) all 4 plants looked the same and grew the same, was the shitest weed ive ever seen/grown. it did mind you smell a little like blackberry's.

from what ive seen tho i think they may have reworked it not sure.

Every plant grown from seed exhibits different qualities, maybe 1 out of 100 females is known as the "golden seed"(
if you plan on ordering your seeds which i'm assuming you do since you're a newb, order A LOT!
Many breeders don't stabilize their hybrids which increases your chances of getting a crap seed.Greenhouse seeds inbreeds 7+ generations so i would order from them personally
You need superior genetics to get superior bud! This means possibly ordering 200 regular seeds, flowering em, picking the best male and female in the bunch then cross and collect the seeds. Flower & Pick out the best progeny(M&F) of that batch(P2 Hybrids) and keep repeating until you find a good mother to clone
It takes time but your efforts will be rewarded!

Good luck

Do more research!
There are plenty of breeders that have stable genetics. 200 seeds? Really? And you pump Greenhouse? Alrighty then. Am I the only one that finds this rubbish?

Sorry, I grew 7 indoor PPP last year and got over 2 lbs total off of them (from Nirvana's seed). Clonning PPP is easier than most and the high is very good .Though a little on the harsh side the smoke improves vastly with proper cure. I have some that has been curing for over 8 months and the smoke is excellent. I am growing it again this year, outdoors, and they are all doing very well. 6+ ft and still going strong with buds forming all over. PPP responds well to topping, fimming or any other training method you may use, Hard to over nute as well, very forgiving.

Strains I won't do again:
White widow. - not because of the resulting plant, it is just that there are better ones out there. If you like the 'Whites" than I would suggest white rhyno as a choice. Even though my White Widow produced well, grew well, and smoked well, I still had a few small issues with the strain. ( propensity toward nute burn compared to other plants, pest and mold resistance was poor.

Anything that takes longer than 10 weeks to flower. Hey, I have very limited space.

Blue Dream - Worlds most overhyped strain. Was not happy about the end product. Relatively weak high compared to other indica/sativa crosses. It does produce a lot of buds, takes well to fimming, topping, etc. and is relatively hardy. I just find it to be too wimpy of a smoke. Good plant for beginners because of its ease in growing. ( It could just be the clones I got that weren't that good, though I have smoked other peoples blue dream with the same disappointing results.)
Cherry Diesel - Excellent smoke, just not good on yield per plant, growing more now, just not again.

Plants I am growing this year outdoors:

C-99 - If you like straight sativa this is the plant for you. Easy to grow, easy to maintain, very fast flowering period. Excellent Sativa high.
O.G. Kush - What hasn't already been said about this strain.
PPP - see above
Blackberry Kush - remains to be seen. Will be harvesting some in about a month.

As a note to the above, Indoors, for flower, I grow in soil, under (4) 400 watt lamps in an 8x8 ft. room. Usually with Fox Farm Ocean forest.
Outdoors, in northern ca. I use 50 gal. smart pots and holes in the ground. ( we have very rocky and clayish soil so all soil has to be trucked in.)
I use a 20% worm castings / 80% mulch that I amend for my basic soil. All plants are fed compost tea that I brew myself.

As was mentioned before, each strain has its own caracteristics that may or may not be viable for your particular growing style. So take what I say with that in mind.

Just wondering if your doing a hydro or soil grow. Me and my husband are in AZ doing a first time medical grow in soil. We've had to be very cost effective. Buying Miracle grow and other cheaper products, BUT always comparing the 3 digits for like kind to more expensive products. I really need someone to get some answers from. We are own Social Security and Our budget is so tight, if it farted it would whistle. Because of that we opted for FL's and CFL's which seem to be doing great. Any experience with soil growing?

.
i also use worm castings and compost tea. i have good results but i wonder if i should add to my tea recipe cuz its very simple.
1 tbs backstrap molasses stirred in 3L rain water,
1 tbs hempseed oil
1/2 cup worm castings bubbled with airstone for 24 hours
thats it and i heard you cant burn plants with it and so far i havent.

For my compost tea I use ( for about 7 gal ):
2 cups worm castings
1/3 cup molasses
1/4 cup bat poop ( for flower I use poop that is high in K , for grow I use poop that is high in N)
1/8 cup blood meal ( every 2 or 3 batches )
1/8 cup bone meal
a couple of tablespoons of Epsom salts
1/8 cup of azomite

seems to work for me

its all about effort. balanceing nutrient ratios and useing suppliments can make all the diffrence. you get what you give. ive grown some plants from bagseed that got me high as fuck while ive bought so called medical marijuana from despensorys/caregivers that was compareable to smokeing brown...... love your plants and they will love you back.

I see your location is Bogota, Colombia
Is that true?
If you are there, that may be the problem.
Indoor plants and indica dominant strains HATE the tropics.
I've found that a a very different approach is needed in order to grow those plants in the tropics.
There are so many nasty bugs there, besides the high humidity!

Worst strains i've encountered as of late... Cheesel from Big Buddha, Cali Hash Plant from attitude freebee, and heavy duty fruity which couldn't be contained.
what was your beef with the chiesel? i only got 3 seeds as pick n mix and i thought it was a dream to grow. got 2 phenos if i remember correctly and and one in particular was impossible to fuck up. the temps were fluxuating, the feeding schedule was not being maintained very well, and it thrived like a mofo. some of the best tasting smoke i have grown to date. the buzz was about 7 out of 10. good shit i thought.

I would say albert walker. If you can grow walker dankly you can grow ANYTHING! Its a hungry whore that is hard to keep up with on the feeding, taking double what most strains can handel. Not a very big yield but its one of the best (also exclusive) buds on the planet.
