yeild question

I have a 400 watt mh/hps light in a 2x4x5 tent. Assuming all other aspects are perfect what kinda of yeild can I expect from say 3 autoflowers? I know strain matters a ton but im just looking for a general idea as I am growing multiple strains. Thanks for any info

soil all the way , keep it organic if you can in my opinion.
as for yeald, that rather depends on the strain and your skills as a grower, good growing enviroment.
i wouldent liker to guess on weight

It depends heavily on strain, but with autos in a 2x4, expect somewhere around 150-200g for a first attempt. I know it doesn't sound like much, but Average for autos seems to be between 200-300g per sq metre, unless you get a large yielding strain, but even then the yields seem to be around 300-500g max per m², your just growing less plants at a time. From my small experience, 4 Oz per 2x2 seems to be a good goal for beginners, but most of them have been running 250w hps or 150w LEDs.

It's more about space and strain rather than number of plants. This is my gorilla glue #2/fat monkey auto at day 46 (second week of flower) in a 100x50 tent. It's a big strain, usually around 90-130cm. It has around 6 weeks left, and is already 14" from lights with only an inch left to raise in a 6ft tent. Make sure you check strains for heigh and light requirements, as I clearly didn't and got a tall and large auto strain. This has been heavily defoliated as well from the 2nd node down on every cola (8 main branches), so 32 shoots have been removed.

Fella i got the seeds with had two, each in 60x60 tents with 250w HID. They pulled 115 and 143g with a fair bit of popcorn from each. His GDP's in the same tents were half the size, only vegged for 3 weeks and put out 62 and 90g due to differing defoliation and training.

I think the only limiting factor will be height if you have large strains as you would need around 8" for the pot and between 16-24" for the lighting distance/ hangers and space for filter if it intrudes, your only left with two foot for the plants. Id kill for more sizing options. 5x2.5x6 tent would be amazing for 3 autos, as I find 4x2x5 a bit of a struggle with three plants, but if your on top of your training, have enough light that stretch is negated you should be fine. The closest I've found is the spider farmer 140x70x200 tents, but they are three times the price of anything else here.

Keep in mind I could be full of shit. This is coming from my circle of amateur growers in a hot climate, and my current experience with autos in 60x60 and 100x50 tents. There should be someone with far more experience coming along soon that have had far better results than me and a few mates with limited environmental control or experience.

This is my 3rd grow indoors and I have a girl scout cookies extreme, a bruce banner and a gorilla glue all autoflowers from ilgm.com. I LST mine pretty early and so far have been pretty good at keeping my height to a minimum. My last grow was a single LSD auto under a 250 watt hps that ended up being about 2.5 zips and would have been more if I hadn't poisoned it with some bloom nutes I tried without checking ph and lost about 8 days of growth in 2nd and 3rd week of flower. It turned out to be some super potent killer smoke tho and for my second grow I think put out a pretty good yeild all in all. The sugar leaves off of her would slap you silly and leave you sitting there confused wondering wth just happened. Hands down the best experience I've ever had from smokin some bud alone.
