1 US gallon = 0.133680556 cubic feet

do the math for the compressed soil. maybe 2 x for spread out, obviously more if you supplement.

Try google. It is not just a search engine, but also a calculator and conversion tool.

Type: "3.8 cubic feet in gallons"

...then click the search button.

It will tell you it is 28 gallons and change.

I wish you guys would read the question properly before responding,I said the bail is COMPRESSED.+THAT MEANS THAT THERE IS ALOT MORE SOIL THAN 3.8 CU/FT, OR 107 LITERS.Having said that, can anyone answer my question?Im not trying to +be a dick, but when you answer a question you should know the answer, not just be guessing.+The person who posts a ? needs real solid advise to fix their problem, and if you give them a wrong answer you could fuck up their whole grow.

Yes, this thread is old but Ive seen more wrong answers to this then I thought possible from all kinds of sites and it's annoying as hell when people give a convincing wrong answer.

You can fill roughly 70 to 80, 1 gallon pots from a bail of Promix or Sunshine Mix Number 4.

i cant believe nobody knows the answer to this
Hey I know this is an old question but I believe everyone got it wrong I just bought a 3.8 cu ft of compressed promix bag and after a light watering and I had 7 (almost 1gallons)grow bags and transplanted them in 7-7gal grow sack and it filled all 7 plus had maybe 1 or 2gals left over. So in conclusion the compressed 3.8 cu ft promix bag ended being right at 50 or 51 gallons. I hope this helps you out. I was looking earlier before I bought my bag and seen no ones answer seemed right to me and i needed to do it any ways so. Have a great day.

Are you sure? I think you are just making this up and I'm going to believe all those guesses and answers where they didn't read the "compressed" part. LOL:spew::wall::peace:
