Really is your face tattooed ?
Yah need to get it redone in the next month and get the other side done. Its above my right eye and curves to the temple. That was my stress relief 1 year after I started my store. Had too many butt hurt people trying to make it hard to get if off the ground.

You got my sympathy for being a small retailer. Very hard to do in this world now a days. you gotta wear a lot of hats to make it work huh. And talk about dedication....I know...wink

Well I had an ex employer trying hard to keep me from getting accounts from the wholesalers. They were still at it about 6 months ago phoning wholesalers and asking them to close my account and not sell them me. They also come into my town and open up shop about a year later to fuck with me. Problem is my partner has lived here all his life and is frineds with every gardener in town lol so that didn't go so well for them and when their store started to look like its not going to do so good they started to cause shit again

I'll only say I know the pitfalls more than well. It is a tough life to be in retail in this age. it is completely different than it ever has been. I would be careful.

Yup, I can see all that happening. Retail is brutal in this age.

I've done about 6 months of research and due diligence...can't be too careful that's for sure.

Small retail now a days equals = only enough fish to keep you alive until tomorrow so you can do it all over again. Sad it had become that.

It is a race to the bottom. Now people are doing free shipping and lowering profit margins even more. Problem is when you get too low you better hope your customer base is in it for the long run as you're dead if the market changes and they all go somewhere else.

I would not open 99% of the small retail business that exist today. I hope your idea is MORE than unusual. It has to be to succeed in today's market.
If it's not SUPER leading edge....good luck. Sorry but that is the FACT of small retail in Ontario right now

Well the other issue is there's a third store in town too. LOL both of the other ones have bottom less pockets, my only income is my store yet I still mange to chug along.
Too bad I'm not near you. I'm a master at promotion in small retail businesses like yours.
Here's one of my best tips for you....out service your customers much better than they do. Just out think those other shops.
