If you are just some dumbshit growing your own pot you probably don't even know how to measure efficiency.
Says the guy "explaining" things. It becomes the same % when you scale it up or down. Just because your opinion entails that your "so small it doesn't affect you" doesn't mean it doesn't affect you. "going to buy more outdated lights even though you guys say I can find better efficiency! Didn't you see the daisy chain!"ROFLWAITWUT!

when you get your GED come back and try to talk to us. The smaller you get the less efficiency affects you.

if you have a large grow room efficiency is everything. A few watts here and there can make a big difference. If you are just some dumbshit growing your own pot you probably don't even know how to measure efficiency. All you need to know is no matter how inefficient you are, it is cheaper growing your own.
YA bro i know all about da efficienciez but kan u tell me y dey compare 220w LEDs to 400w HIDz?!!!!?

but getting back to op. He is looking for opinions on just the normal led's that are being sold today. I voted CLW, I think he is voting Kind. Everybody else votes they are all a bunch of shit. That doesn't really help us much does it?

Many pointed out WHY.....

If the best a CLW or KIND can do is around 30% or less efficiency.....and twice the amount per Par/Watt cost.....Why would you spend twice your money for half the output?

and whatever happened to the oldtime hardcore growers who claimed 600w mh/hps was the best light you can buy?
[facepalm]

And......

we are talking Intensity AND efficiency......You can't have one without the other, especially in a fixed size space....
how so? you lost me. In a small space all I am concerned about is intensity. Why do I care about grams per watts? A watt one way or the other isn't going to affect me much. Especially when you compare what I pay for a watt compared to what they pay for a gram.

Another interesting finding in the study is that light quality is much less important than light quantity. While light quality will govern certain aspects of plant metabolism, it has a small effect onphotosynthesis, which is the most important driving factor in plant development. While this goes against what many LED grow light manufacturers have to say about their products and the wavelengths they put out but, the fact remains that HPS lights are still the workhorse of the indoor cannabis industry, and for good reason.

LOL go back a few pages, there were at least 3 different COB companies mentioned. Apparently you need to go back and get your GED and you better brush up on your reading comprehension while you're there.

I always enjoy reading through these KIND of forums.. always the same arguments and regardless of facts, two sides find themselves headbutting one another.

The only thing missing from one side is personal experience, otherwise known as credibility, where as the other side bears this. I don't know how one can argue against something that they haven't themselves experienced or became familiar with. Now there would be valid a argument/discourse if both sides shared credibility pertaining to the topic at hand and one side was guilty of misleading or lying about what they truly knew but that clearly isn't the case here.
