This thread is funny.
Whether or not you're pro cc or lp does anyone not see the bigger picture?

One group follows the laws and regulations.
One group doesn't and runs illegal establishments selling illegal weed.

There is a valid complaint.
Whether you choose to have an open enough mind to see it or not. Those who invested in legal facilities and follow the laws have a legitimate reason to protect their legal investments.
Let it go Ricky... it's more than obvious you're jealous of others. Why you would feel that way about sick people is beyond me.
That point alone would be enough to open most peoples eyes..
LP sympathizer extraordinaire. This only show you don't care about sick people and only care about Recreational sales

cheers

Not even close.
Would you be happy investing your money into a business and have people who don't abide by the law taking money from your pocket?

I'm not going to argue with close minded one track thought types like yourself.
If you can't wrap your head around the big picture, I actually feel sorry for you.

well Ricky..what we all see here is that :

people should be allowed to grow their own
people should be allowed to grow their own
people should be allowed to grow their own
people should be allowed to grow their own

and what ever the LPS wish to do AFTER us getting that RIGHT..

then go for it.

but just because one has a vested interest in LP'ism

it should not supercede

people should be allowed to grow their own
people should be allowed to grow their own
people should be allowed to grow their own

because that is corporatism

Well ricky I think the same could be said about the 200+ LP hopefuls who invested time and money to get into the MMPR only to be snubbed and put on a 3 year waiting list, how is that fair to them? So really fuck the LPs who are crying because if they stepped up their game they would not have a problem. They have the best advantage over everyone and still can not make it work? Clearly a broken system.

Would you be happy if HC told you to build a facility then said umm you do not pass security, or ummm do not contact us wait till we contact you(2 years pass). Oh the fact that all the LPs went public the first chance they got, all through some reverse take over shady practices.

I BET you not one LP has one person on payroll who even knows a fraction of what I know(and some of you know) about Cannabis. It is funny to see the tweed guys walking around cannabis culture style expos like the denver cup trying to learn all they can from young 23 year old extract artist, LMFAO.

PS ricky I am not beefing with you simply pointing out a different point of view.

I don't disagree, it is a broken system.
The 200+ hopefuls got shafted by an anti mj gov and so did patients at every turn.

i know what it takes to build a business and invest profits back in, I understand both sides of the lp argument. I just see things from a broader perspective.

The only thing I really disagree with is the advantage part.
A cc is local to those who use them or close enough to visit for the most part, they're selling product that was not subject to the overhead costs of running an lp nor subject to the regulations.

They do have an unfair advantage not to mention the legality factor, if that were my investment, I'd be pissed.

I have no problems with cc's dispensaries or any other way to obtain. If the playing field gets levelled for everybody I think that's the best, and most rational outcome.
How that can or will happen, I don't know.

They knew very well that the underground market is super strong in Canada and tightly knit with Canadian Cannabis Culture and Medical Cannabis Users. Dispensaries were around Loooong before the LP's were. Not the cannabis users problem the LP's spent millions going into an uncertain market, besides the fact that weed was $700-900 per lB at the height of the MMPR and after it was closed.

Nothing like cutting your throat by telling cannabis users that you're gonna try to get the dispensaries shut down.

I do grow my own, but I believe in a legal framework for business to operate.

Everyone should be able to grow their own.

Those who build a business should have their investments protected by a legal framework that all players are expected to abide by.

Well the CC do have an over head, weed just doesn't get donated to them for free unless they are growing their own weed most buy weed for $1500-2300 per LB while an LP might spend $300-500 to grow an LB. No one held a gun to the LP's heads and told them to build out huge indoor green houses while going for broke. Its not the Canadian cannabis users responsibility to care about the LP.

Dispensaries should have been forced to provide product from licenced, regulated and approved providers. No different than cigs or booze. That would've allowed more producers and kickstarted the legal market.

But that wasn't and isn't the case, so who really knows where they get the meds, how much they pay or exactly what it is for sure or not.

If I invested millions, I'd try to have those who choose to compete illegally shut down too. Who wouldn't?

I can just see both sides of the story.

They can go fuck themselves. They setup to shut us home growers down.
I WILL NEVER purchase they're bunk schwagg weed or ideals.
You wanna be a yes boy blower...go ahead. I got pride and won't.

They can suck eggs on the legal business point. They are legal because a stupid gov made it that way. Fuck they're are plenty of legal businesses I wouldn't deal with and LP's top that list.
I hope nobody kicks your door in Ricky...because that what the LP's you support would like.
You grow...and yet support the folks who'd like to see you not grow....sorry man but your logic makes ZERO sense to me anyway.

I don't support them. Have never given them a cent.
I understand they have a place in the system.
I understand they were forced to abide by regulations to become an lp.
I understand costs, investments an roi.

I understand some are not abiding by the same rules or regulations that others are.

It's all fucked up, but it looks more and more like no one has escaped the broken system that everyone hates.

Grow your own, keep posting the fire and get what you need where you need to. That's what I believe in, but buying a bag from a store when I need to would be great. Even if they were lp provided if it was a decent product.

LP's should be selling weed for $3 or less per gram. They're still making 100%+ mark up.

But that wasn't and isn't the case, so who really knows where they get the meds, how much they pay or exactly what it is for sure or not..
Well you say this, but in your previous post you say dispensaries don't have the overheads to the LP's. I know lots of people who sell to dispensaries and its $1500-2300 per LB is what they pay. Sure some might grow their own. With economies of scale LP's are probably spending maybe $300 to grown an LB.

If I invested millions, I'd try to have those who choose to compete illegally shut down too. Who wouldn't?
There is no right in Canada for your business to not fail. They can go ahead and start lobbying to have the dispensaries closed/busted but the moment one dispensary is shut down by the LP's and its made public I can guarantee you the back lash from the Cannabis Culture will be huge.

I appreciate you not buying from them . If we go legal they can exist all they want as long as you and I can grow our own.
Until I'm guaranteed my right I will fight them tooth and nail on every Pro LP comment I see.
It's the way I work from being brain damaged by the thought of buying their greedy CRAP
Sorry Ricky As a fellow grower I respect you. As a LP supporter...I CAN'T

There is no right not to fail, but we do have laws for all businesses to abide by for very good reasons.

I hope and am doing all I can to help them loose their millions.
I know my enemy. It's LP's at this point. If you grow..they are YOUR enemy as well.
