And when 1% of the global population own more than 50% of the global wealth...how much is too much?

For me, the amount a person has, is less of a concern as compared to HOW they acquired it.

Were the means used to acquire wealth, based in voluntary exchange or not would be the question I'd want answered.

Uhh no, he's correct.
Perhaps you were too young to watch the events unfold, the request for funding, the world events, the daily bombings in Baghdad until peace was restored.

You can't get the news from the RIU propaganda or Saturday cartoon channels.

You keep saying this, and every time you do, I'm going to ask you the same question: "Why aren't you "comfortably wealthy?" I mean, you make sound so easy to attain.
Ok, I will be happy to answer your question.

First of all, wealth and income are two different things. Which is why I said I am probably more wealthy than you.

A few years ago I was making a good income cleaning pools but I hurt my back. I could have continued but I realized that I may lose a valuable commodity if I was injured more severely. So, I sold the pool business.

With a reservoir of cash I tried to combine with a previous employer and expand their home inspection business significantly. Over the next year and a half they failed to meet their promises while my reservoir of cash dried up. I was making between $2,000 and $3000 per month with them but was used to making at least $5000 or more per month with the pool business.

Realizing that it wasnt going to work I let them know I was starting my own business. They stopped sending me business at the end of last year. My first active advertising went out on February 5. Now, I only made $700.00 in February but it was a short month and I just started. It looks like March is set to bring in a minimum of $3000.00.

Moving forward as the schedule fills I can work 2 full days and 3 half days a week, have 2 days off per week and 2 weeks off per year and be bringing in $2450 a week or just over $10,000 per month.

Making money is not hard, it just takes hard work.

Should I save this post so I can copy it the next time you ask me?

I doubt it.

"Wealth is a measure of the value of all of the assets of worth owned by a person, community, company or country. Wealth is the found by taking the total market value of all the physical and intangible assets of the entity and then subtracting all debts."

Do you own your house? I dont mean do you pay a mortgage to a bank who owns your house, do you own it outright?

Nope, the bank owns my house.
My balance sheet is quite a bit in the positive even factoring in my debt. Unfortunately most people are negative when they look at their balance sheet.

Right now my income is low due to starting a new business.

I'm sorry, you can't dismiss all I have said with cheap insults.

I offer you facts.

I am old enough to have attended the anti-war demo to try and stop us making the mistakes we did.

I remember the iran-iraq war

I remember the arms to Iraq scandal.

I am older than you obviously assume and have been following this shit for over 30 years.(good friends of mine faught in the first gulf war)

Try again

Not related to the above coversation, just a personal point of view.

I am not interested in anyones bank balance.

I value people, not money.

I've met some beautiful people in my life, some rich, some poor..who gives a shit.

As previously mentioned by another poster...as long as what you have is obtained ethically, who gives a shit.

But I'm just chatting shit as I'm waiting for my Indian take away to be cooked ;)

Nazis demonstrated in Belgium.

Pope Francis says states should help migrants financially (agree wholeheartedly... the Vatican is a state, cunt. A state that profited massively from Nazi gold. Help them!)

Watch out for them nasty muslims people

Are all poor people lazy and all wealthy people hard working?
Of course not, you are overgeneralizing.

What can be said is that there are few wealthy people that have not worked hard for their wealth.

If you think it is hard to get a $30.00 per hour job imagine the competition for the $300K jobs.

You said "It's not hard to make money", that sounds like a pretty broad generalization to me, especially when you consider the actual numbers of people who do find it hard to make money. More than half of working Americans make less than $30K a year, that's something like 80 million people. So if your claim is accurate, why do so many hard working people earn so little?

I suspect you don't believe people working full time as teachers, factory workers, fast food employees, etc. work hard, is that accurate?

Do you think someone like Mark Zuckerberg works harder than someone making $30K a year? If so, do you think his wealth/income accurately reflects how much harder he works than someone making $30K?
