Love the information & pics you guys share...

@GroErr or @Bad Karma

What's your thoughts on the SunSystem grow beast,over a 5 x 10 area, on a light mover...this will be for veg.

I know it's a big dumbass light,but I need to cover this area better than it is now (2 big ass hoods,1000watter & 600watter),poor as shit coverage, spectrum,ect.
Cheers @genuity, that thing is a beast! If you have the ceiling height you might not even need a mover. That's a lot of light if you're running the DE +2 LEC's and nice spectrum mix running the 4200k's.
I agree with GroErr, depending on the ceiling height, you might not need that light mover if you're only vegging with the light. Other than that, all I can really say is just make sure to get the veg model with the 4200K veg bulbs, and you should be golden, sir.

More manufacturers than Phillips make the ballast, such as Welthink and hydrofarm phantom. Thanks for all your "help"! Lol

The retrofit should be ok it just adds an adapter to run a t12 bulb in a ed37 socket on any fixture. It doesn't include the fixture which costs $150 too. So that's why the the kit is only $200

The lec is almost $500 because it's sun system. They have always been the most expensive with everything. Their t5 fixtures still go for $200.

With cmh you want a vertical hood. There will be a spectral shift and less photon output when ran horizontal

There's. A pdf on growers house for it. There's a phone number to contact them at the bottom of the pdf. The ballast is UL listed. I'd imagine it is square wave otherwise they wouldn't have been able to get a UL cert. Getting UL approved is a very lengthy and very expensive process.

I almost have a feeling growers house owns all or owns part of prism lighting science

So mag ballasts dont pass UL?

way too much. tacoing and spindly stretching at 1000 ppf where temps and co2 were fine
Thanks. I ordered 2 315's yesterday for a soon to be built closet setup. I wanted to go with 4 over a 12ft length (actually 11'9'' max) but figured I'd wait and see how it goes first. Unfortunately I bought open wing hoods ($28 on amazon) I hadn't read that vert was the way to go with these. I'll have to start looking for vertical hoods asap. What do you think the width should be? 3ft, 3.5ft, or 4ft?
