I see the attention from LE as the result of an increasing amount of hype surrounding cannabis use. Law makers are upset that we as users continue to indulge ourselves despite their prohibition efforts. They remind me of a father who is upset at his child for not listening to him. The more the child doesn't listen the steeper the discipline and attention the child receives from his father. This metaphor also implies that the father cares for his child and only wants the best for him, which is debatable when talking about our government. In any case, the father complex is definitely there. However, I have never heard of any caring loving fathers imprisoning their children in a basement for years at a time because he feels they deserve to be punished for simply not listening to him. This is where they part from their ideology. Someone caught sitting in a park on a nice day by a stream smoking a joint is not hurting anyone. They are not a danger to society, but they still end up put in the same place as someone who robbed a convenience store. Why? I don't know. When will it stop? I don't know. What I do know is that most of us don't hurt people and DO NOT deserve to be treated in the same way as people who do.

In my experience, all the douchebags in my high school bacame cops, so cop=grown douchbag.
In my city they have RECRIMINALIZED marijuana, with no justifiable reason, they actually voted it to continue another year against public outrage, and not evidence of a drop in use or crime.
It's a 4th degree misdemeanor for minor possesion, that will keep you from a good job, school loans, government grants etc.
They officially brought my city back 40 years to the McCarthy era. It's a big city, you'd know which one with a little research on what i just stated, so I prolly should've said that

There is.. stop teh underage drinking.. They're not there to bust you for smoking pot.. they're there to stop the underage drinking most likely.. for the simple fact that most alcohol related deaths are by those underage and drinking at partioes.. keep the partier's age above 21 and you'll have no problem..

I've been searched 3 times without having possession, basically fully violating my 4th amendment rights, but there ain't shit I can do about it.
Cops are cops, it's their job to be an asshole and infringe upon your rights and freedom.
Now a days, people will give up their freedom for what they think is safety.
Or government attacked our country on 9/11, and now we are enslaved in a dictatorship.

The police can pull over anybody for any lame ass reason. And I've posted this before, the police use this term, "probable cause". This gives THEM the right to search anybody, their car and home.

sometiems have to look at the circumstances and though it isn't right or fair.. this man or woman's job is to deal with real dickheads and shitheads all day.. like think about when your alcoholic uncle comes over at thanksgiving and has alittle more than he usually does and starts getting on everybodies dick nerve.. and eventually some shit gets started and it's just one big pain in teh ass and you think "FUCK why is this motherfucker even alive".. now imagine thats your job.. to deal with those people on a daily bases.. you'd be a dickhead too.. it's not cool and it's not fair.. but it is what it is..
I have a few family member's who are cop's, and they all say thatw hen you get a dickhead cop, most of the time he's just got done dealing with some shithead pain in teh ass punk.. or he's just having a bad day.. they're people just like you and me.. and you can't sya you've never had a bad day and havent taken it out on the slow bitch working the drive thru at mcdonalds or the one eye'd stray cat that coems aound lookin for hand outs.. the only difference is they ahve the power to take you to jail..
point is, don;t do anything that would cause you to go to jail and you shouldnt ahve a problem.. don't give the pig's a reason to be an even bigger dick, and he'll eventually change his tune and feel like the ass when he see's you're being respctful and cooperative

I've heard my friends say they get pulled over for no reason.. but it's never happened to me.. I stay pretty lowkey ad give no reason to get pulled over.. I don't know.. my experiances with the law hasnt been near as negative as y'alls must've been

I agree. I have friends who are cops. Good cops. But there are plenty of assholes who are into the power. Good cops know this and stay away from those types. Its just the nature of the beast.

thanks.. I just always try to remember we're all humans in this fucked up world, we all have teh same tendencies and come from the same grain.. no matter how different we are we're all the same.. and this usually get's me through any encounter with any law enforcement

I've been pulled over for HAVING a muffler. That's right HAVING a muffler, not NOT HAVING a muffler but for having one.
Sports car + custom exhaust = PoPo stop. I'm not talking about one of those rice burner 4 cylinder coffee can screaming mufflers either. I'm talking about a nice factory built, DOT approved one.
It was clearly a ploy to check out my car and the cop was actually really nice but still; it was a huge pain in the ass and made me late for work.
