decarbing live resin to refill pax era pods?

the title says it all! I love the pax era but the pods are too damn expensive. The colorado based pods have live resin in them, and right now all i can get to work is decarbed BHO in coconut oil and the flavors and high is just not the same.

I currently have figured out how to refill the pods but i need to make the resin more liquidy so it can get taken up by a ceramic wick, like a typical ecig style. I believe that it will become active when it passes over the heated coil but just in case I was wondering if, AND HOW, to decarb live resin without damaging the turpens, or do you think if i lightly heated it and mixed in a very small amount of coconut oil to make it more liquidy that the hot coil will do the rest?

if anyone wants to know how to refill the pods I am more than happy to share it with the fam!

Hey! I'm located in Denver. I would be extremely thankful if you told me how to refill these bad boys! Or at least get them open to get refilled when I figure out how to loosen up the live resin as well. Thanks!

You don't need to decarb. But if you wanted to, the oil will decarb in 2-4 months at room temp preserving terpenes. The Era is heating up the resin to proper temps needed for instant decarbing. They use a small amount of Propylene Glycol with resin(I'm going to order some from Puff Magic). I would try this instead of coconut oil. Coco oil is a low temp oil(smokes at 350F). That being said, can you tell me how you did a refill? My Tangie pod just ran out and I want to try. Thanks!

im interested in this also.i have read about the glycol and i can get the stuff local.but im not sure what the ratio is for rosin.i have my own pens they are easy to refill if i could just come up with a good mix.coco oil sucks ass to smoke

I do a 1:1 peg 400 usp and distillate in my vape pen carts. I go thru 50+ a week.

Absolutely no need to decarb anything if smoking or vaping. Only decarb for edible, or topical needs.

Thanks for the reply.but i dont understand some of those terms or abbreviations
What is 1:1 peg 400 usp and distillate?
Is peg a term for the glycol? And what is usp? Thanks in advance

Peg 400 usp
Usp is the standard for food safe quality products

1:1 is the ratio
1g of peg 400 to 1g of distillate (by weight, not volume)

ok cool i googled the peg and found what i think is a decent price,can you give me an opinion on this product? its like triple this price at my local tobacco store
glycol-400-usp-500ml for 19 bucks

I've heard good reviews on Puff Majic. I was going to try that. The oil in era pods is very thick. They don't use very much PG from what I read. Definitely not 1:1 like you would for a normal vape pen.
I still don't know how to refill an era pod though. Anyone?

I know this is a bit late to the party LOL, but I use FarmToVape with my live rosin's to get them the consistency needed. Put your 1g rosin in the provided bottle, add 2-4ml of FarmToVape (personally, I do 4ml but others might want it stronger/thicker), put the lid on, drop into boiling water for 3 minutes and you are done. Then I use an 18 gauge blunt needle with a syringe to refill my pods... YouTube has dozens of videos showing how to do this.
