No, actually it is so a group in the middle realize the right wing's mistakes. It is an important distinction. You cannot make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

The worse it gets, the more people are likely to learn and remember the lesson for as long as they live.

Almost everyone who remembers the Great Depression is dead now, so apparently these lessons need to be relearned.

The group in the middle will be made up mostly of former right wingers. The left already knows or at least fears the outcome.

Hitler worked the crowd right. He adapted to or maybe just took advantages of the circumstances. He worked the same side of society TRUMP! is working now, the low elements. He told them lies that many already had a tendency to believe. But Hitler wasn't either stupid enough or so full of hubris to admit that he conned his base. TRUMP! is no Hitler. He is a much smaller man. Which is not to say that his effects on society in America will be lesser, just that he has much smaller ambitions. To Hitler, it wasn't just about Hitler. He had larger ambitions. Trump is a simple man. Trump is about Trump as we will all learn.

Well you could look at it that way. I don't. Affiliations move. People learn. People change. People die. The voters I am thinking of got fooled into believing things that were manufactured. I don't think they truly supported Trump. We'll see. Every seems to be up in the air at this time. All they need is something to change their minds.

I guess my point is that there are a lot of people who pay no attention to politics. They make up their mind by licking a finger and raising it up on election day.

I expect it will. Sometimes you just need to sit and wait. No worries. I am actually embracing the Trump era. Sometimes there are critical moments where it is better to lose than to win. I think this might be one of those times. History seldom moves in one direction for long. Wait for it. This may be our finest hour.
