if the driver is mounted on the frame you will have 1.5% drop that is only 8 feet of 18 ga wire
If you use 22 ga its 4% drop

Both the 320 and 600 have 14awg out I connect 14-16awg to them. Solid if I'm using push-in. Then stranded out to driver also 14-16awg

open circuit voltage max 311 V
I think this means you could probably do this.
Thanks for your input man. It's actually one of your posts early in this thread that made me want this build. I was about to pull the trigger on 6 cobs fixtures and then I see today the cxm22s are 51.1V not 50V
HLG-320H-C2100 can run 3 cobs
HLG-320H-C1400 can run 4 cobs
HLG-320H-C1050 can run 6 cobs
Anyone know if you can run these drivers +1.6V (306.6V) over spec (305V) if you still stay under open circuit max V spec (311V)? Maybe @CobKits can chime in?
Can you do 6X cxm22s on 1X HLG-320H-C1050B for about 50W each? My guess is yes but it says 305V max for the driver and if the cobs take 51.1V @1050mA each we are 1.6V over. Will the small extra 1.6V make it not light up?

i might be able to try it

im guessing it might just drop current below nominal

keep in mind chips have different voltages at different currents and temps. also slight variation between chips.

for a cxm22 (approx)
1050 mA 51.1V
1400 mA 52.4V
2100 mA 54.7V

Thanks man. It would be a great test imo because 6 cxms on a 320 c1050 is using the driver at max load if it works so I guess good driver efficiency. Its a good matchup imo if you want 6x 50w cxm22 fixtures

While i am catching up on all of this... am I correct that 12 of the cxm22 driven at 50w costs roughly the same @ the wall as 16 cxm22 driven at 35w ? Assuming upfront scrill isnt a factor, which set-up pulls more product ?

at the same wattage, cobs run softer will always yield more absent of other limiting factors.

a rule of thumb is if you double the number of cobs you get 10% more light from a given wattage
Yeah thats kinda what i was thinking. Getting a grasp on all this thanks to @CobKits and everyone else here. I simply would'nt have enough hours otherwise to learn all of this without these forums.

Let us know if you get to try 6x cxm22s on a HLG-320H-C1050 please mate. If it works it would be a killer cob/driver combination for efficiency imo
