New to the seed game, looking for some advice!

Hey people! Hows it going?

I just recently started to purchase and stock up on seeds, more freebies than breeder packs but am starting to get a little collection going, only problem is my strain knowledge is limited to what I read online, actual experience is lame af...best weed Ive smoked was this year, guy said it was Gelatto, but after reading online about it being a clone cut and us being in the UK, doubt it was legit.....

I keep reading and reading and then ordering, only to learn ive probably made an amateurish mistake/assumption (something the intensive reading is meant to limit lol -_-).
Dodged the GHS marketing hype,caught out with "Purple bud" not showing a bit of purp and as of my most recent purchase, feel I may have been too hasty in assuming Cali-Connection has the fire im so badly wanting to experience!

If I list some of my seeds really hope I can get some feedback on the strains from the peeps here, just about to start my 2nd grow, and as I was so happy with my first, im looking to use better genetics this time and really start to learn this art!

I just got done flowering my last DNA sour kosher and she was a gem! Strawberry smell and flavor and potent but she was a hermie so I let her clones go but so far I've found no seeds in any of the bud. Dinafem is straight genetics. I've smoked some killer tasting tangerine dream but it wasn't very potent. The g13 blue og was fire too. The delicious seeds critical super silver haze is nice too. I think you'll like the end product of many of the seeds you've listed.

Delicious Seeds are reliable Fruity Chronic Juice is really good I've grown it before and this season am growing it again! and also their Caramelo is my absolute favourite plant in the world and will grow it no matter what every time...
Dinafem I find very reliable; have grown many of their strains.... Critical Jack & Power Kush are my current faves both of which am growing again this season...
... anything from Dutch Passion I would take a pass... have had terrible experiences with their strains

Louis is killer OG! BUT Swerve and Cali Connect are herm pushers and hacks! You won't find much CC love around here. I had a Buddha Tahoe of his that was alright but had 3 different strains herm including a blue dream 6 pack that went almost full on male. I know some of the US banks ship internationally. That's where I'd start. And I believe the ONLY American breeder to avoid would be the Cali Cons. Just my opinion, but I'm sure I speak for many of us. We wish we could kick Swerve's stupid ass outta the game all together. people like him are a virus.

herm pushers? I got one fem'd hermie, a tahoe og kush, the best of the sack even, and still running her after she was fixed.
I've also grown every one of their selections, some great, some just good, and never had a hermie in those. sorry this happens to you with their gear. i did not enjoy their mendo purps

It ain't just me! Swerve was ostracized years ago, and for good reason. Awesome that you got some good plants out! I did have a wonderful Tahoe from him, but you would be in the minority of satisfied customers. There's a reason you never hear of CC unless its newer growers...

Every time I get interested in a seed company I end up reading countless shit online that makes me feel like I might be making a preventable mistake lol first with Arjan, then Shanti and now Swerve....Pls tell me Brothers Grimm are gonna be my savior! Just waiting till I can feel better about ordering a pack of cindy.
Anyone got any suggestions on the products The Attitude stocks tho? Love there monthly deals lol

Whoever said ANYTHING cross about Shanti is DEAD ASS wrong! Mr. Nice is as legit as they come. I've never heard a bad word about Mr C Soul at Brothers either. I'm not a C99 fan but I'm sure your getting the real deal with them.

Right Mr. Nice is the shit I've grown out like half his stock and never had a pack of seeds that wasn't at least pretty good. For the prices at their auction you can't go wrong. I have had a few plants throw nanners but I think most of it was grower error cause I can always find one or two things that can be stressing the plants.

But I have seen some bad talk a few people have claimed to have packs that only had hermies but that's either grower error or propaganda because I've never had more than one or two plants throw nanners and that's with stress.

I wish he would work on some more Afghan dominant plants like NL X G13 even but he seems busy as fuck with CBD Crew. But fuck it I'm gonna breed some good shit just need to select some Afghan strains from Sensi seeds and I'm grabbing that Pakistani Chitral landrace that throws some nice purple's and pink buds. Should be some interesting breedings I have planned over the next few years.

The only bad thing I've READ about Mr nice is reports of problems with the strain ORTEGA. Reports said they hermied. It made me skeptical of it. But I decided to pick up a pack last year maybe the year before. I avoided popping them. But about 2-3 month ago I decided to let em rip. Out of the pack I got 8 females. On Wednesday they'll be starting week 5 of flower. To date I haven't seen a single sighting of a hermie. There's still time but so far so good. I wanted an original northern lights. And when it comes to getting original genetics there's a lot wrong turns. Who better to trust than MR NICE!
