charcoal filters and ona gel?

Moving to a tiny ass apartment here, would like to keep smells down even though I'm a legal grower (kind of a sketchy neighborhood, don't wanna get broken into)
I know there are sticky threads and I've read them but I want to know from someone who's done it with success.

I have 7 plants all under two feet, 4 photoperiod in a 3x3 tent, and 3 auto's under cfls in my closet. What I want to do is put them in my bedroom in the new place, and get this for my tent:

and then ona gel for the room.

Couple of questions: 1-that charcoal filter is off brand and cheap. how good u think it will work?
2- i got the best smelling auto right now, its a midnight express and lord almighty she is succulent. a cross of citral kush, blueberry, whtie widow and purple. she's really robustly flavored. Does the ona gel degrade smells like some other products similar to that can do?
3- how much ona gel do i need to last me about a month? I'll be drying in there too so it may be longer.

when I'm riding a bike in the neighborhood......ona smells like pot to me.
you'll have better luck controlling the odor than masking it.
use a large stink sock, or two even, in the tent, outside of the tent too if you must.
a fan for each is necessary. set you back about 125 a piece.

Stink socks are junk.

Get a CAN33 filter and fan. Run that and you'll be golden, save the ona for harvest time as it can change the flavor of the flowers. Don't skimp on your filter/fan combo.

You can make a little dry rack box out of a rubber made and put a diy filter on it to tame smell while drying. The drying boxes are fairly simple to make and there are plenty of diy tutorials out there.

You can make a cheap carbon filter under 20 bucks that will work just as well as the expensive ones also careful with one in the same room if the air treated with it gets in your tent it will make your buds odorless

I ran a carbon with recirculated air all through college in the back of my closet and I can tell you that is bullshit. It most certainly will not make your buds oderless.

Even with a good quality filter there will be some odors unless inside a sealed room. That filter you link from Amazon is the same one I have used for years; it will suit your needs but keep in mind a fan is even more important. I suggest getting an inline fan that is slightly more powerful than you need and then use a variac speed controller to slow it down until the sides of your grow tent are just barely sucking in. Calculate your tents sq footage & look for fans that will replace all the air every few minutes.
You can get ona fragrance in your weed & it will taste like a dryer sheet if its too close to your grow or use too much. I think ona gel is a complete waste of your money. IMO incense is better but of course it only works when it's burning; in my apt grows long ago i used to just get a shitload of sticks & store them in the open. It will smell like a headshop rather than pungent cannabis. That's along with filtration will reduce chances of detection but there are strains that can overpower even the best filters during the final weeks.

Well from actually doing it I messed up some buds they still smoked good but that lovely smell was very lacking

This would probably do and isn't too pricy. Ona won't cut it in flower imo, and can effect the flavor. Imho

Activated carbon and pantyhose and tape easy cheap and works just and well if not better then those expensive filters

The fuck it will not. now much carbon do you think is in those filters? i might go with the 2 bucket pantyhose and tape method but it will work the same

It'll tell you how much carbon is in the filter. Mine has about 30lbs.

Cutting corners will fuck you up in the long run

I understand your thinking but your wrong.

See i realy don't want to have to buy an inline fan, then a charcoal filter, thats pricey, especially when I'm legal and i could just be like, fuck it...i'll put some ona in the rooms where i don't have weed. how much is that activated carbon and where can i buy it?

Also, i have this little clip on fan inside the tent now that i put at the end of the cool tube, it works to control the temps in the tent, but doesn't blow that hard. anyways that this little fan would do me any good at all or do these filters really not work without a good strong fan?
