Wage Gap between richest 1% and poorest 1% by state

How do you feel about this kind of income inequality in America in 2016?

  • This is proof the rich are greedy

  • The rich own everything

  • The rich earned it

  • The poor deserve it

  • This makes our nation stronger

  • This makes our nation weaker

  • It's a sign of impending economic collapse

  • It's a sign of the End Times

  • Pinworm stomps it down the drain

You primary assumption is flawed. You imply because something is done a certain way, that it is the ONLY way it can accomplished or that it is the right way to do something.

You think a forcible imposition done by people calling themselves government can magically change it to being a "service". Of course roads, postal services , security and fire protection etc. could be provided in a free market.

You don't know what a free market is, which is why you are confused.
Do you think the free market would provide 911 service ? Right now all homes have phone jacks, and whether they have a service provider or not, you still are able to call 911 from your home just by plugging in a phone. Will the free market still provide that service ? How much you think the free market would charge to put out your house fire ? We have a free market now for mailing off shit. USPS charges me .49 cents to mail a letter. The " free market ", be it UPS or FEDEX now charges me 7.25 to mail that same letter.
How does the police department work in a free market, do you have to pay for service after you have been raped or robbed ?

side note:
Do they ever take you guys out on field trips in that institution ? Allowing you mentally insane individuals a chance to see the real world every now and then ? If so do you have to be at a certain level of crazy to be allowed to go ?

Clearly you have ignored the fact the USPS is subsidized. So, the .49 you think a letter cost is not an accurate figure. Sad.

First let's examine how the "Police Department" works in the present. They are funded via involuntary collection of money (theft) and if you don't pay them, they will harm you. They then say, we are here to protect you from people who threaten you or use force against you. Now, THAT is funny. You have fundamental misunderstanding of reality.

The police department is ran by tax payers who in turn can call them when needed. Not all police are bad. I have use their services in the past and it worked for my benefit. They also will still help even if you don't pay taxes. Do we need to improve our police and weed some of the bad apples out. HELL YES. Do we need to destroy our police dept. and create a free market for their type of service ? Do tell how this would work.

All police swear to uphold every law. Not all laws are good or just. Therefore Police take an oath to do bad and unjust things.

People who swear an oath to do bad things as a routine part of their job...are not good people are they ?
Fuck them.

Vote to make a change in the laws then. Why do you hate civil rights laws ?
A police once pulled my wife over to let her know her back tire needed air. He followed her to the gas station and put it in for her. Told her to be safe and gave my daughter a high five.
When I first opened my first laundromat kept getting break in. Filed a report and they actually increased more drive-bys at night, which led to catching two teenagers and a 11 year old breaking into my shop.
Like I said weed out the bad apples.

Laws which prevent those who wish to interact from interacting are wrong.

Laws which force those who wish not to interact, to interact. are wrong too.

People should be free to interact on the basis they mutually chose with other individuals, people should be not owned by others.

Why do you hate freedom so much?

Some cops do good deeds, that doesn't change the fact they are mercenaries who've promised to jail people for victimless crimes does it ?

Please tell me the law that forces others to interact when they wish not to.
Used to have a neighbor a few houses down who refused to interact with any of us. Never came to cook outs or anything we put together as neighbors. No police ever forced him to do so. He died alone. His son had to come and check on him and found him dead from a heart attack. He was in that big empty house dead for about two weeks.

Have you been charged, by mercenaries jail time ? Do tell.

It's peaceful to interact with those who wish to interact with you, leave those who don't wish to alone and proceed from there.

What you advocate is institutional forced integration, which is just the flip side of institutional forced segregation.

Individuals should decide between themselves on a mutual basis if they will interact, wouldn't you agree Rapey McPoopy Pants?

You never explain who has a right to force another person to interact with them...can you?
tel us again about how reasonable and polite it is to hang signs that say "no negros allowed".

Then, by definition that would make it impossible for the person forcing the interaction to remain a peaceful person wouldn't it ?
I can stay a peaceful person even if I have to defend myself or put myself in situations that I know might encourage people to attack me which will then require me to defend myself. So your logic is weak. Use critical thinking skills bro.

So, because a thug / cop used a dog to attack a black man (whose ancestors were likely enslaved) it's okay for a white person to insist via legislation that a black person serve a white person if the white person is forcibly entering a black person's property ?

Please define what property is. Is the black person not supposed to own / control his own property ?
Name a scenario where you example has ever happened?

Again critical thinking skills. See not all white store owners were racist scum so black folks didn't always assume they would be assaulted when entering a new store so not all, and I'd care to venture hardly any at all, black people were forcibly entering white proprietors businesses. Logic fail brah

I often enjoy listening to the BBC World Service whilst debating with you poor sods, and tonight they discussed the number and wealth of billionaires... In Britain.

http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-39830087

The 1000 richest people(134 of whom are billionaires in British pounds) in Britain now control £658 billion, or $854 billion in American dollars, up by an amazing 14% in just the past year. The rest of the article is similarly chock full of eye popping statistics, including this gem;

Brexit supporter Sir James Dyson, who last year became the first self-made Briton to break the £5bn barrier, this year increased his wealth to £7.8bn. uhhh, so nearly all the rest are inherited... Think about that.

Extreme wealth concentration, anyone?

More income and wealth inequality data, from around the world;
http://www.nakedcapitalism.com/2017/05/growing-inequality-global-capitalism.html

Relevant to the US;
"In the United States, the income share of the top one per cent is at its highest level since the eve of the Great Depression, almost nine decades ago. The top 0.01 per cent, or 14,000 American families, own 22.2 per cent of its wealth, while the bottom 90 per cent, over 133 million families, own a meagre four per cent of the nation’s wealth. The top five per cent of households increased their share of US wealth, especially after the 2008 financial crisis. Meanwhile, the richest one per cent tripled their share of US income within a generation.

This unprecedented wealth concentration and the corresponding deprivation of others have generated backlashes, arguably contributing to the victory of Donald Trump in the US presidential election..."

This is unsustainable. Extreme wealth disparities destroy societies. We're headed for another Great Crash and this time I doubt the American People will tolerate being impoverished to bail out the ultra rich again.

You know who James Dyson is, right?

He literally built his company with his own hands...

Naturally a massive failure would be jealous of success, not all wealthy people are the massive assholes you make them out to be.

He wants to be handed wealth just for being born. Then he calls people "lazy".
