My takeaway is that if there's an average difference of nearly a million dollars, surely we as a nation have the money to solve our problems, TOGETHER.

The idea that the rich don't have any responsibility to help the poor is morally and ethically unsupportable.

Um nope, we are discussing real topics... those that disagree could put in well thought out and resaoned refutations if they so chose...

Its not healthy but its natural... without bridling free markets they will naturally transform into a culture of haves and have nots with few if any in between... Middle class is not a natural occurance....we keep taking the bridle out more and more.

The top is dumbed by greed to see that hording the wealth will cause their very own collapse eventually but greed forces them to live for the short term. Then shit collapses through crash or rebellion. A society rises from the ashes and grows again, what is unkown at that stage is how much they learned from their previous failure..

We have the advantage of history, we just need to learn its lessons.

It's fine to build something great and get rich- what's not okay is keeping it all for oneself while letting the rest of society suffer.

Yes wealth can be expanded no doubt but that expansion is held back back hording of whats currently available.... its about velocity, horded funds slow the pace at which existing wealth is circulated...

Kind of like the water cycle; the more it rains down the more their is to elvaporate up... no rain no evaporation and cycle of drought begins. Rain held in clouds benefits no one just as horded wealth helps no one but ego of the horder... therebis also a difference begween hording and doing well for oneself...

I don't think asking you if you ever earned a living was an insult. I was simply pointing out that if you work hard you can have the things you desire. I think you agree.

Wealth is not limited or unreachable.

Some people don't know the difference between discussion and fighting, and/or don't have the intellectual chops to avoid personal attacks when talking with someone who disagrees with them.
