So here is an update,

I have not yet had even an ok pull using the SK600s, it might be me and my newbieness using LED's. I have only pulled .5g / watt , I used to pull .9 g/watt with DE HPS's. The quality is also shit compared to what I normally do. Gotta say I am really disappointed and feeling like I have had one pulled over on me. I plan on running these lights one more month and then deciding wither to stay the course or switch back to HPS.

Sad sad thing, I have looked on You tube to see if anyone had done a video of an impressive sk600 grow I haven't seen anything of any real quality.

At this point I will say SK stay away

i tried sk...nah

its not "leds" its sk..

good cobs and led boards will work well

Well I am a little gun shy and cash strapped to lay out another 12000 for new lights. My wife was busting my balls last night quoting me that I should never be on the cutting edge. First adopters pay the big price and more often then not end up with shit

Not shilling for it but at the same time you ain't makin anything of that build quality in your tinker shop. I've seen home made units before...usually sitting at the side of the grow half burnt out.
If you grow at a certain level you haven't got time to rely on home made toys. Just like my HVAC guy doesn't buy his tools or supplies at home depot...lol
Why do you think they sell so many Gavita's....those are sold to serious players not homemade save me a few buck wizards.
Go look at some of the bigger well run grows...they ain't runnin home made. Professionals need professional equipment and don't have time to play " Red Green Games "
I always get a laugh at the guys who " oh you can make it cheaper " I got a few friends that are like that and they never owned a decent thing in their lives. Too fuckin cheap to actually buy a decent one...so they brag on about how they're effort saved them this and that. Sorry I've run businesses before...you want to make it work...buy the right shit. Like the guy who won't by a " real dehumidifer " and ends up with mold. Yup saved a few dollars there they did.
I knew a guy who made his own shirts because " they are much cheaper he said" yup and he looked like a fuckin goof too in his homemade button up shirts.
In this growing thing....you buy correct gear.....or wonder why it doesn't work at times.
For me reliability is how you make it productive.
Every grow that I've seen that cheaps out on equipment get what they asked for...inferior results and unnecessary struggle.
Like the guys who don't buy enough ventilation....good luck on consistency.
You wanna do it right...do it right.
0601161726.jpg 0529162047a.jpg I built both the computer desk and the bed by myself. And I guarantee they are both far stronger than any shit you'd buy pre- built in a store. My point being diy doesn't always equate to junk. In a lot of cases diy can far surpass store bought in overall quality. Plus that spectrum king dude is such a fucking douchebag in his YouTube videos. I love my cobs, but I'm not running a warehouse. Even if I was spectrum king wouldn't be on my list of interest

yea i dont ever understand the market for these high priced LEDs. Commercial growers don't use them so it falls to home user or small commercial growers to use but then there's not many comparative grows that show these outperforming current standard HPS/DE lights they claim to be crushing.
I'll see if I can get photos but if you ever check my posting history I've always been Pffft for LED's. Seeing the final product and the weight that this person was getting changed my mind at last on the Fluence once. When I first saw their video a few years ago comparing the Gavitas and then not really showing the final product or giving too much info I thought it was BS. Having said that if I was to grow right now I'd either go with Agrolux or Gavita but with the Philips 1000D DE bulb.

Like most things in growing it's situational.
If your setting up a warehouse or commercial grow then leds aren't the cheapest way to grow.
But for a small home grow setup things have levelled off a fair bit.
I was able to remove my old 400watter for 180 watts of led. Cost me just under $300.

No offense, but it looks homemade. I agree most furniture today is garbage. Unless you muster up and that can be ridiculous. I maintain my point. You want good results...buy good shit.

Couldn't tell ya. Is that black PVC tape wrapped around it? More pics would be needed.
I know plenty about DIY. What'd ya think, I just got to this fuckin planet? I've done plenty of DIY projects...some of it nice...some of it crap in the end. Sen it both ways. I know when I ran my business, we had proper industrial products and machinery that were proven and did the job....year after year. We had no time to play with home made shit. And that was my point much earlier here. You wanna be home joe who makes shit...fine. I Know lots of stuff made at home is better than manufactured stuff. But I also know when to use it and when not. Do ya make your own water pumps too...no...why not. You wanna tinker around on a small setup home made can work. You want reliable stuff...buy the best....easy peezy decision.
Anyway LED lights with fans are just stupid. Spectrum King uses no fans...that's not by accident. I like that feature. Ever see what floating around a grow room...plenty of air born stuff. Oh ya sorry, forgot I was a paid schill for spectrum king. LMAO. Whoever said that needs the jagged stick. I don't schill for fuck all or anything. JUST BOYCOTT LP's is all. Anthing can fail...yes even the purchased stuff. But the best stuff usually has more reliability. And PLANTS need reliability. This isn't fuckin Mayberry ya know. There a reason Gavita sells thousands of lights.

Reader n weep.

you can buy LED Fluorescents strip fixtures that are brighter.

Just sayin
My grow shop of choice just got the LED T5 replacement bulbs in. WAY brighter that any T5 I've ever I..I mean the T5 strips I have already...haven't tried these replacement LED lamps yet.

I didn't grab any but probably will instead of replacing T5 bulbs....duh. See ya T5's lamps.
I mean look at the advantages...more light...less power...less heat...MUCH longer life with no loss in light as they age...or little anyway i'd guess. SOLD...schwing.
NOT CHEAP though.
My Sunblaster LED strips have had ZERO led failures so far in the 6 months I've had them. That's not bad out of thousands of individual LED's in the whole lot.

Lol@that price

You can buy multiple 1k watt fixtures and the AC units for that.

Or buy multiple ready made led kits for half that price.

If anyone is actually considering that price tag, I have a bridge for sale, message me.

Spending that kind of money on any light, particularly one that doesn't even list it's components is the equivalent of bending over and asking to get fucked. Absolute garbage, warranty shwarranty, DIY lights and commercially available COB or 561c lights would do as well or better than that monstrosity at 1/4 of the cost.
