Does anyone know for sure what is causing this black colour on buds?

I was googling and saw something about some kind of worm that goes in the stem and buds ? not sure if it was a troll or legit? but also i had some blue green algae on my lawn and have also had moisture from rain on buds. Could this black be mold or anything else harmful when smoked?

What exactly are we supposed to be looking for here friend? Are you referring the the purple colour of your buds? The only outright negative things I can see is it looks like you've got fertilizer burn on your leaf tips.

I think they are over fed, how is your air circulation?,stagnate air can cause bud rot.
they are outdoors only feed i have is miracle grow and i overfed for sure when i first fed.
but lately its just been darkening or lightening and gaining spots like this and lack of growth too. how long do you think it has till it reaches its peak ?

im looking at it daily thinking is it doing more harm than good letting it keep going with all its problems... or is it still beneficial to let it keep growing even if it has pest problems ph problems nute problems etc

roll the tops in your fingers, do they fall apart?
you mean the buds on the plant that have the discolouration? i haven't tried but if they are fine how should they react?

EDIT: I just tried and it didn't disintegrate or anything feels fairly dry for un cut crop

if they fall apart, that's not good. you should be able to open the flower up and look inside toward the steam with out the flower falling off or crumbling.

Start rooting around in the worst (brownest) one and look for a worm...if it's bud worms you're f'd at this point...they are not hard to find...they're usually at the middle of the bud near the stem...I suspect it is if the advancement in discoloration is worse by the day...been there done that...g/l

So no worms, they don't fall apart.

Without being there, you'll find out when you cut it, or something else happens.

If I was to cut one plant out of the two in this pot. will the dead roots of the cut plant rot or cause harm to the other roots?

I see no signs of bud worms.

Your plants are dark colored due to low temperatures.

Those plants look done.

CHOP 'EM!!
