How Many Times To Flush

Until all the Phosphorus is out of the bud, so about 2 to 3 flushes.

Sucks when you spark a bowl, and you get that sparkler effect.

Thread after thread you still post this misinformation. You need to read about plants and nutrients and how they use them.

If you overfeed that much you get to live with the results even if every leaf has yellowed.

And the problem is also still moist inside buds. So likely overfeed and dried poorly is what you are describing.

I’m fucking around.

A little bit.

And did you see my current grow log? Over feeding? Now I think I’m underfeeding.

You got a cpl of weeks left. Bud structure wise.
Kinda hard to say.
See that’s the thing, I planned on another couple of weeks, but the flower is tight and dense, but also feeling ‘crispy’ with what looks like a loss or lack of sugar leaves.

Any luck on interpreting the trichs photos? Are the quality too poor to see?

I see clear one's yet. Too soon.
I have not run that strain. I don't know if it's one that will amber or not. So I'll leave the "amber" out of the answer for now...

By bud structure. I mean that the calyx's have not swollen and taken the pistil's "into" them in a limited fashion or "sort of way."

Lets see a minute here. Let me dig up an example I may have......"Jeopardy music plays".......

Here is a "day of harvest" Gorilla Glue #4. All cloudy and this is a strain that does not amber.... Calyx's fully swollen and pistils receded into them.

That help any Dave?

Is this not a perfect picture of the infamous ‘amber trichomes’, and is it not THE indication to chop?

View attachment 4048755

Ah HA! Yup, those would be ambering trich's. Hard to see all from that pic but with that info, and the amount you have.....I would say 1-3 days and chop.
Key being the % of them. I like a different amount per strains that do. For that Indica, maybe 15-20% would be my point of harvest.

I might venture you used a bloom booster or straight - high P (and K) bloom foods? If you used a booster. They tend to make the plant ripen faster.

Personally, I don't care for that. I want the plant to take it's own time in getting to the harvest point. Helps the plant reach natural potentials better.

You'll learn a lot by doing....It'll take time, be patient.

Yes, I hear what you are saying.

I’m not at all familiar with this strain either, it was purchased at the local dispensary, and the grower never responded to email inquiries on the strains.

I don’t think I’m cooking my flower crispy, because I’ve been maintaining 63-81 degree temps and 50% RH. And the plant has been pushed to the edges of the tent.

Why are we not discussing the ‘amber’ trichs, as everything I had previously read was it was an indication of beyond ready to harvest?

I think I remember you use the H&G line? Most if not all of it?

Never been a fan of that line. Too much "forcing" with it. Makes the plant finish way too early.... Stupid high P amounts in the boosters and such. Never been a big fan of kicking P up the plants ass.

There's your amber part.

I gotta run. Need to get some field soil testing done - farm work.

If you took the pic of the ambers and it was on a leaf, I wouldn't chop just yet. Those tend to amber earlier compared to the trichs on the actual flowers.

Thanks.

Yes, I have been using a nutrient regiment, and this plant has had the late bloom nutrients introduced. At half recommended dosages. I agree, I think it seems to be negatively impacting my grows. After your observation here, I think I might now be done with these nutrients I’m using.

Yeah, after this discussion and observations in this thread, I think I’m done with his nutrient line. This plant in question is grow #4 using the House and Garden line, and again, the ending seems to be what looks like a catastrophe with leaves turning yellow and falling off, and the flower turning crispy.

I’ve been following that guys, @Dynamo626 DynaGrow System, and have really been impressed, but more importantly, he mentioned a late flower nutrient that he swore by, G-10 by Humboldt. Looking at what he has going and comparing to what I’m doing has me more confused, but also eager to get it understood and figured out.

But he is showing result beyond what I have going on.

Also the trellis work going on and shit like that.

I started lurking here when I first got started. Glad that I’m able to come out of the woodwork.

i flush when i transition from veg to flower just to get all that nitrogen out of the soil. Never flush again after that unless i start to see toxicity issues.

Not exactly sure what clone you got but chem91 can amber up heavily on the foxtails, is that were you snapped the pic? 20170927_202336-1.jpg
